I watched it. I agreed with Gary about Oppenheimer. It's good but I just don't feel like I'm going to ever watch it again.
The rest just felt like a bitch session about the Oscars in general.

I did rewatch Oppenheimer, because it was so long. I wanted to make sure I had caught everything. Fascinating how they told the story, though I do understand how many would find a second viewing too much. Kind of like Joker - harsh at times, but I’ll likely rewatch in the future.

i like seeing Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker together on screen. also glad to see they are getting some wider attention. Critical Drinker was on Triggernometry a couple weeks ago too. Nerdrotic is getting close to a million followers on youtube (if he isnt there already). love these guys.

The problem was the LFE channel is mixed a little hot and add to that lots of theaters and home systems are set up to run LFE hot then you get a lot of sound masking the center channel. This is exacerbated if you are sitting in a constructive room mode.
Audio and video editors are too quick to get artsy and make a cut with the very best theaters in mind and the vast majority of commercial and home theaters simply aren't up to the task of proper reproduction. They need to proof their score on a full set of Yamaha NS-10s*.
I am (sorta) kidding but anyone that has spent any time in a recording control room will know what I am saying.

They really could've explained things who don't know Oppenheimer's story a lot better. Maybe people will rewatch it for that? But it's not an inviting movie to really see again.

I was downvoted to oblivion on this board when after watching Oppenheimer I didn’t express complete jubilation over Nolan’s magnum opus
