Watched this last night. Utterly insane, beautiful, and disgusting. Helen Mirren looked really good too

never heard of this, but NC17 featuring Helen Mirren? I'm in.

Where'd you stream from?

She gets naked in it, but the NC17 is not for sexual content, IIRC

It's on Paramount+, I believe. At least it was last week. I don't login enough to see the current lineup, but it was on my watch list.

You should still watch. Michael Gambon, Tim Roth, Ciaran Hinds...

Just so you know going in, it's pretty arthouse and could even be considered avant garde

You need to watch Excalibur then. Sexy as hell and naked in that.

It's really good as are all the Peter Greenaway films from the 80s and early 90s.

The Draughtsman's Contract
A Zed & Two Noughts
The Belly of an Architect
Drowning by Numbers
Prospero's Books

You mean the part where rotting meat falls on her naked body isn’t NC17 ish?

That scene horrified me

Yeah, Dumblebore (the actor) is forced to do something that made me gag when I saw it.

Haven’t seen it since.

All great. The Draughtsman's Contract is his masterpiece. Just because I think they're worth special mention, I'll add

The Falls
The Baby of Macon

Though he's been much less consistent this century, Nightwatching, with Martin Freeman, is awesome.

He certainly wasn't in the rarefied air of the layer cake at that point

Good call I forgot about The Baby of Macon on my list.

The Falls and Nightwatching I have not seen but I do have Nightwatching in a movie folder somewhere with a bunch of other movies I haven't gotten to yet. I'll have to see if I can find a download of The Falls somewhere.
