So, how many players have been replaced this season with no explanation? Nam left after the first episode or so and no reason was given. Think there was at least another one

Nam kept testing positive for covid and had symptoms and they had to resume shooting. Not sure why they didn’t explain that. There’s nothing scandalous about it.

The red headed guy from Survivor and Aneesa were both medically DQ’d. Fessy was removed because of his “fight” with Josh.

And there was a woman named Lauren who was removed after one episode. If that hadn’t been mentioned on sites like Vevmo, none of us would have even known tbh. I believe she said something racist to Aneesa or something along those lines but it was all off camera.

Eta: by current standards, John would have probably been kicked off one of his first shows and never had a reality career

I assume any challenge romance after CT/Diem is a seasonal fling, or contestants taking advantage for alliance/promotional purposes

If anyone has listened to the latest Bananas podcast on this episode, its pretty revealing. His guest was Marie, and they semi-shite talked Tori because apparently she puts on a fake persona for the cameras.

Marie said that Tori outside of the show is completely different and all of the positive energy, upbeat shite is just what she thinks the cameras want to see.

Apparently Tori has a little more edge to her outside the show, but she plays a different version of herself on the show for social media applause.

Marie and John also both agreed that the wrestling match between Tori and Kaycee, which was basically a draw, was to show the rest of the house that Tori was not to be fricked with physically.

John said its why you used to see so many wrestling matches between the guys back in the day. It was for fun, yes, but it was also basically an announcement to the rest of the house that "I can kick your arse."

Marie also exposed that MTV has a strict social media background check that they impose on cast members. She said she was fully cast for the new OG season, but MTV called her a week before filming began and told her she did not pass the background check.

Apparently Marie had tweeted some stuff about how much of a whore Lindsey Lohan was years ago... So she got nixed by production.

Apparently all the cast members have to walk on extreme eggshells when they post online. Marie said that she had photos of people drinking and partying in pictures, so MTV flagged her for that, too.

Now we know why there are basically no great personalities on the show anymore.

That makes total sense based on what we’ve seen and talked about in here this season. It just comes off as so fake sometimes. And what’s weird is she used to just seem like a cool chick, but she’s turned that up in recent years to the point where it all feels like an act.

I get that, but you have to be reasonable. Like knocking her for calling Lohan a whore is dumb. She is a whore and there have been thousands of “news” reports about her whoredom. It’s not like she used the N word. And it’s to the point where even posting pictures of (legal) partying is bad? Get the frick out of here with that stupid shite.

As much as I hated Dee, she got royally fricked over by the show, for example. Same with others. Like with Kenny snd Evan, at least that makes sense since it was sexual assault. But my assumption is that The Challenge is one of the only moneymakers MTV has left, so they are overly careful about having it be cancelled and lose that cash cow.

they def get paid well after being on a few seasons theyll make 3-5k a week. the more elite folks I think can make up to 80k just for showing up for a season. considering it takes 1-2 months to film a season thats pretty great pay for them to travel the world and play games, even before possible prize money.
