Hurricane Ida might’ve destroyed my home but I still have my family.

The night of the storm a tree came crashing down through our living room. Alyssa and my 4 year old daughter, Isla, were sitting on the couch next to each other and I was standing in the middle of the room. When the roof collapsed, I fell to the floor and immediately thought the worst. Adrenaline kicked in and I immediately headed to the couch where my family was. I could hear my daughter crying and cleared her from the debris. I brought her to the middle hallway bathroom and went back for Alyssa. At first she was not responsive and my heart sunk but I could hear her breathing. After a few moments of moving the debris off of her to pull her out she regained consciousness. She had received a blow to the head when the ceiling came crashing in that knocked her out. Her hand was also severely wounded. We were able to make it to the hall bathroom with my daughter, who was thankfully unscathed, and attempted to call 911 for help with Alyssa’s injuries but it was too late. The storm made it impossible for emergency services to get to us. So we waited it out 5 hours before attempting a trip to the hospital ourselves. We drove every route possible but there was no way through the downed trees and power lines any way we went. We eventually met someone who had a chain saw and was willing to help us. Almost 4 hours later and we finally were able to cut a path through and make it to the hospital. Alyssa received stitches in her forehead and the doctors scheduled surgery on her hand. If all goes well, she will make a full recovery in 3 months.

I struggled with sharing this but I wanted everyone to know that miracles do happen. If that tree or part of the roof falls a foot in any other direction this could be a different story. I’m thankful I get to hug my family and as traumatic as this experience was, we are all blessed to still be here! My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone else who was affected and are still dealing with the aftermath of this hurricane ??

I can’t thank our friends and family enough who have helped us through all of this. You know who you are and we are forever grateful!

That's terrifying.

I have no idea why, and maybe thus makes me an a-hole, but the whole Kaycee/Nany thing just feels so fake to me.

I love how Kaycee is talking shite about how “josh thinks I’m backing Fessy over him,” when that is absolutely the case. Kaycee likes to pretend that she plays a “fair game,” but she’s just as selfish as Fessy sometimes.

This is a boring challenge. Like one of the most boring ever I think.

I can’t stand Ashley, and she is insane. But man her body is sick.

Can’t wait to watch Josh go emotionally insane with Esther at some point.

One of the best things they did was a few seasons ago when they had a built in club at the house.

I don’t like all this Amber hate I’m seeing right now. They better not send her home.

Well we haven’t had a good high school house fight in a while. So I guess let’s fight about pizza.

A drunk as frick josh stumbling into this Amber/Fessy argument is hilarious.

I hope they don’t send Esther home for throwing a drink. That shite used to happen all the time in the house but they’re way less lenient than they used to be.

“The snakes come out the woodwork.” Good try, Nelson. But that’s not quite right. Neither is “Messy for Fessy.”

Fessy pushes Josh’s face. Guess he’s going home. They definitely don’t let you out hands on anybody anymore. Oh well.

Boring episode. That car challenge might have been fun for them but it was terrible TV.

Any idea why this was a one hour episode?

And for next week my tv isn’t showing a challenge episode…

I guess I'm an a-hole too, because it couldn't come across as more fake if they tried. And we didn't need any more proof that Nany was a slut, but there we go.

They intentionally made this episode a cliffhanger. Then on the clips from next episode they show Fessy crying it appeared and also TJ going to the house and saying it's never good when he does. I feel if they wanted the true cliffhanger, they Wouldnt have made it so obvious with the clips. I think they clearly want us to believe Fessy is going home, which means he's probably not going home.

Honestly, that was my only thought last night as to why he may not go home, because they are editing it to REALLY make it seem like he is. But they have taken such a hard line in recent years with assaulting other cast members that I think he still goes. And I think they may throw Esther in as well for the throwing of the drink thing. And them being on the same team puts a sort of wraps it all up in a nice little bow and the teams aren't messed up because of it.

Also, had no idea Emy was a "pop star" back in her own country. Her alien song was hilarious.

It was so boring, the last 1/3 of the episode was the cast talking about how bored they were so they made up shite to create drama.
