I'm afraid it's more than that considering last year's Hollywood strikes centered around concerns regarding AI in the film industry.
This is what immediately jumped out at me. You can't just selectively say frick AI in one use cases and embrace it in another.

Glad for that clarification ... seemed odd that they would resort to using AI with a veteran, capable designer. Even on a shoestring budget.

i'll say this about them using AI for voice. Hollywood and Nashville have used uncredited voice actors for a long time without disclosing it. Some times it is just one word that is fixed, some times more than that. I personally know several people who were in studios and asked to fix one or two words, syllables because the main actor/singer didn't get it right. They are asked to sign nondisclosure agreements and it doesn't take them long.
Why is this done? I presume because famous people are assholes that no one wants to go to and say, "hey we looked at this in post production and you screwed it up and we didn't catch it during recording. can you fix it?"

Apparently the Emilia Perez filmmakers also employed Respeecher to mix the lead's singing voice with someone who had a higher octave range.
Nobody seems to care about this, and its awards chances apparently have not been affected.
Its true that even though awards bodies keep voting Emilia Perez into awards significance, nobody seems to actually like it. My guess is the social media heat about the Brutalist will remain just that.
