New episode was meh. Good seeing A-Train redeem himself. The Deep killing his octopuss* was hard to watch.

The jokes against the right are just getting ridiculous at this point though. I just imagine Seth Rogen stoned and creating these shite jokes thinking they’re hilarious.

Yeah, I love thr A-Train arc, which definitely means he is going to die.

Basically this show is “I am a leftist and I want to lecture you about how evil and dumb the right is but I am way too stupid and have accidently made my viewpoint look retarded and don't even know it…oh yeah and here is a plotline and a man’s hairy a-hole”

I don't think that was a body double on SL's butt. That was a single camera one shot and her face was visable as she was getting up and turn to walk away with the booty scene

It’s not that they are making fun of the right, though. My point is that the writers announced they were intending to, so I would expect an actual, valid, and witty attack.

Instead, what is revealed is they are too stupid to even understand what they are attacking. They don't even realize the caricature of the right they created fits the left perfectly.

“See something, say something” was post 9-11 and was 100% a leftist ideal.

Forcing censorship after pushing corporate/government narratives is a leftist approach.

Trusting current leadership and all its bureaucracy is totalitarian and leftist. It was the left pushing the COVID norms, not the right.

The right says “break the system, leave us alone, give us our freedom back” to the point they elected a guy like Trump because he promised to burn it down by “draining the swamp.”

If anyone on the show fits Trump (as was intended), Billy Butcher would be closer by far than Homelander. He’s difficult to work with yet will get results. He’s against the system and will say and do whatever he thinks he needs to in order to break it. He’s unfaithful to his wife, yet overly loyal. He speaks his own mind but constantly puts his foot in his own mouth driving away the people closest to him. He’s frustrating and can be annoying but his heart seems to be in the right place. Homelander, on the other hand, is a corporate stooge who is too weak to really take a stand for himself and no matter what he does he’s always reacting to people around him and is controlled like an antifa tool.

That's what takes me out of it, realizing how legitimately stupid the showrunner is. He inadvertently makes himself look retarded.

The last few episodes have been pretty crazy. A lot of cool shite and homelander getting closer and closer to the edge. Maybe he finally cracks in the finale goes full evil and lasers huge crowds of people.
