That's absolutely where they are going for S3. They've put too much into it this season to just let it go and not enough into it to be able to reasonably tie it up within the remaining episodes ("reasonably" being within the high level of writing they've set themselves thus far).

Interesting that whoever blew up heads went after Shockwave. Makes me think that they might be involved with the Church of the Collective to get
A-Train back in the 7.

Is it just me, or does it feel like this latest episode is moving as such a breakneck speed, that it's hard to imagine them doing a third season?

They were renewed for a third season before the second aired.

What if it turns out Edgar is part of the church? He got the meeting with him really quick, and I’m sure Edgar has some motive of his own. I’m just spitballing here.

My assumption is that unless it’s 100% spelled out that the character is dead it’s best to assume they are still alive.

Agreed. The last time we see him he's inching toward the EpiPen Maeve had kicked out of his reach. It's definitely not outside the realm of possibility that he was able to reach it before dying.

Right now though he's kind of a Schrodinger's Hero

Agreed

Seems out of character for a terminator level villain to go out via nut allergy, but then again would be slightly hilarious in a “Boys” kind of way.

Yep.

I have to say, I kinda liked it. Black Noir is on that level of being almost non-human. Having something so simple as a nut allergy humanizes him a bit.

That was what I mentioned in my initial post. It could just be used to further show they are just normal kids/humans being inject with Compound V and they're still going to have issues like normal people.

The more I think about it, the more I'm kind of okay with it by chalking it up to "The Boys" craziness. One minute you have a supe dying from a peanut allergy, the next you have one having his head burst like a Gallagher watermelon

Butcher: Congress? Please. What a bunch of corrupt fricking c.u.n.t.s they are.

I like it. As others have said, it’s a reminder that they were still just humans injected with V. So it reasons they’d still have human vulnerabilities.

I don’t think he’s dead though. I do find it hilarious he can be neutralized they way though.

Actor who plays Black Noir has a nut allergy irl - they got the idea there.

I thought they would show us his face. From what we can see he looks quite disfigured so that would explain the constant masking.

All this might mean is that we've found kryptonite.

So yeah, that was crappy.

It’s not possible Edgar has powers, like say mind control, is it?

Of course the writers couldn’t resist connecting pewdiepie to white supremacy.

I could see it being Edgar who makes the heads go pop. Black Noir is not dead, he was crawling towards the pen.

Great episode.
Lots of shite going on..

Touching on some other talking points:

After the Butcher and his dad talk... I think Black Black is his brother... he's supposedly dead.. but butcher was stronger in his grasp on reality.
Just a hunch.

Also, I got a Jonathan Kent vibe from butcher's wife. Wearing plaid, keeping the kids powers a secret.. keeping him from the world.. it may just be a slight nod.

There was an interesting call back with the almond joy from starlight and hughie conversation. Did Maeve grab it out of her pocket?

I dont think crusher chick is responsible for the exploding heads.. but she will be blamed.

I think stormfront will definitely use the super-kid against homelander. He's the first natural born super. He's more valuable than anything from the lab.

A-train isn't an idiot.. He's on to the churches shite.

Mauve has her own plans... and she's careful not to intertwine them with the deep and starlight or the boys...

Also, the entire homelander and stormfront public speech was very ...
Umm.. direct in its satire.

Not a chance for 3 reasons:

1. This is a spoilers thread.

2. I tagged it as a COMICS spoiler and they are so far away from the comics storyline now, that it doesn’t really matter

3. I don’t care about your feelings.
