No word on a renewal, but the creators have said they have a 3 season arc in mind for the whole story.

Was enjoyable enough but nothing ground breaking or super interesting that needed multiple seasons imo

Needed a bunch of flashbacks to tell the story of how some podunk rancher discovered the aliens and came into the arrangement

I started and have seen 3 or 4 ep. It's intriguing and makes me want to watch more. But TBH, it is just Stranger Things with old people. Some of us getting into our 50s, 60s, etc can relate to these characters and what they feel with life and nearing the end....but everybody could relate to the cast of Stranger Things because we have all been thru middle/high school. So I think it was appealing to anyone....adults, kids, older adults that grew up in the 80's. I don't think Buroughs has the wide appeal.
The fact that it feels like Stranger Things for old people makes me a little less interested because of how out there and ridiculous Stranger Things got, I hope that doesn't happen here.
But in the end, it is intriguing and I'll finish the season for sure.

Well, I just saw the "no renewal" for the Boroughs....that's a bummer. If there is some cliffhanger for the finale that will piss me off. Now I'm losing motivation to finish the season.
