I think I'm loving the flashbacks even more than crime boss narrative. Exploration into the Tusken Raider/Warrior culture has been fascinating in both BoBF and the Mandolorian.
Just finished E2. The Tusken storyline is infinitely better. The whole vision quest/Gaffi stick crafting scene was outstanding.

It's obviously a woman . . . and the character is played by a woman.

Did anyone else notice the biker gang in the saloon fight had MC style vests?
The bottom rocker says Tatooine and the center kinda looks like a Hutt.
I wonder if they got the inspiration from this artists jacket:

So I guess boba fett channeled his inner Lawrence of Arabia this week.
There is so much inspiration outside of the huge amount of obvious SW inspiration. A Man Called Horse, Lawrence of Arabia and so far the overarching arc is Moses including the chapter names: Stranger in a Strange Land and The Tribes of Tattooine.

Was watching with my son and looked over at him and said I cannot believe I am pulling for the sand people.
Theirs is very much the American Indian story depending on the POV it is told. Multiple tribes with likely different cultures, the trains coming through their land with "men" shooting from the trains, and herds of buffalo (bantha).

I wonder what that birthmark tastes like?

Damn That was an awesome episode, Hints of Dune and Dances with wolves.
Masterfully done, start to finish.
And damn, we got to see boba Fett trip balls.
This may have been the best one yet, it had it all

I had Fett's attitude/outlook change (benevolence vs killing) due to old age. Looks like he went native. Probably mixture of both, transitioning from villain to hero. Sure we will see his allies in future episodes.

I saw an interesting YT review that even suggested the prominent Tusken trio (Chief, warrior, & kid) are all mirroring Fett's past (from kid to warrior) and his future (firm, but fair, ruler).

I don't follow the SW novels or comics, but I know the Pyke Syndicate were the tough guys/drug lords who mined the spice (drugs) on Kessel in the "Solo" movie. I had never heard of them before that.
And they never took off their masks in that Solo movie so this was the first time (on film) that we saw their fish-like faces.

They’re also in the Clone Wars animated series
ETA: there were a couple of characters from Mandalorian that were originally in Clone Wars (Ahsoka and Bo Katan) plus the dark saber was first on screen in the animated series. Wouldn’t be surprised to see more characters from the animated shows make appearances in BOBF too

I wouldn't mind seeing an appearance by Boba Fett's sister, Omega (the last clone), who was introduced in the Bad Batch. She would be around his age, I suspect.
I don't know if Capt. Rex is still alive in this timeline, but it'd be cool to see a white-bearded T. Morrison act opposite his cloned self.
A live-action Cad Bane appearance would be the shite.

Only if she is played by Frankie Adams with blonde hair.

I'm going to have to catch up on all those damned cartoons, aren't I?
I'm mostly thru S1 of Rebels, just to get to Thrawn's content, but MCU stuff keeps popping un in the meantime.

Tusken Kid is Jimmy Kimmel's nephew, apparently.
