I don't know if Capt. Rex is still alive in this timeline, but it'd be cool to see a white-bearded T. Morrison act opposite his cloned self.
They said at the end of Rebels that he fought in the battle of Endor but by BOBF time, Rex would be the equivalent of a 90 year old man because of the clone accelerated aging. Maybe he’ll pop up in Andor since its established he was working with the rebellion and wouldn’t be a geriatric old man in that timeline.

I watched the first episode but the baby Yoda thing killed it for me.

I didnt read the rest, but maybe you should know that its merely a baby of the same creature type and not actually Yoda as a baby if believing Yoda as a baby was a dumb idea or something.

I'm mostly thru S1 of Rebels, just to get to Thrawn's content, but MCU stuff keeps popping un in the meantime.
Yes.

Clone Wars is the best of the animated series IMO. Really does a good job fleshing out the story in the years between Episodes 2 and 3 and creation of the clone army

You can skip Resistance though. It was pretty bad, even by sequel trilogy standards.

This episode was your classic western movie.

Right?! I get a Firefly vibe watching this and Mando. I loved Firefly and these are really fun for an old guy who grew up on the first movies. Hell, i found an old boba fett action figure from the early 80's and have it overlooking my shop. lol.

I feel the same way. I have never watched a Star Wars cartoon. I just cant get into a cartoon when its original story wasnt a cartoon. I know is sounds dumb, but, for me, its true.

Clone Wars is a slog in the first season, but it really finds its stride at the end of season 1. Great watch that adds a ton to Star Wars. Highly recommend.

I don’t really recommend Rebels.

I haven't made it to the S1 finale yet, but I hear the S2 finale is amazing, and anything with GA Thrawn I'm going to grin and bear it to get to. After Boba Fett, Thrawn is my favorite character, with Mara Jade taking bronze.

There is a fan film of Heir to the Empire that you may like. The animation is bad but it follows the book pretty well.

I just watched the Clone Wars for the first time last year and no idea why I never gave it the chance before, absolutely incredible.

Season 1 is a bit slow, but once they go to the 3-4 episode arcs in season 2 and 3 it hits its stride and just keeps getting better. It really does add a ton to Episode 3 character motivations.

The Siege of Mandalore concluding arc is basically a movie and honestly would rank as one of the best in the entire Star Wars canon. Ahsoka has shot up my list to become among my favorite characters in the universe.

There is so much inspiration outside of the huge amount of obvious SW inspiration. A Man Called Horse, Lawrence of Arabia and so far the overarching arc is Moses including the chapter names: Stranger in a Strange Land and The Tribes of Tattooine.

Rebels has some great moments here and there, but most of the show just isn’t very good.

When you get to season 3, imagine his voice actor, Lars Mikkelsen, playing him live action.

It has its moments. Not as good as Clone Wars but still good. Thrawn is really a great villain

No spoilers, but a particular one liner in "Twilight of the Apprentice" episode is one of the best scenes in all of Star Wars (assuming you finished Clone Wars first).

Just watched the first two episodes. I would not say it is bad, but it has not been very interesting. I am reserving my judgement until the end, it may get better.

But for the life of me I cannot understand why Star Wars creators refuse to make a series with Jedi as the main characters.

I would like to see a series about Luke, Asoka and ObiWan :-)

You're in luck then....

Obi Wan series with Ewan Mcgregor is coming out on Disney+ sometime later this year. Supposedly set about halfway between episodes 3 and 4

Ahsoka series with Rosario Dawson is supposed to start production soon and likely release late this year or sometime next year. Said it was set in the same timeline as the Mandalorian.

Hayden Christenson returning as Darth Vader for both series.

No, I heard about the ObiWan one but that has been vaporware for years. I though Asoka was put on hold because of Kennedy/UFC girl spat or was the the Mandalorian. I cannot keep up...

Neither. Rangers of the New Republic was the series that was put on hold and ultimately shelved because of Disney's butthurt about Gina Carano.
