I have a feeling the dark saber won't be with him that long
I was shocked it wasn't misplaced when he had to check in all his weapons

The Clone Wars
Season 4 Maul returns and we get his back story and he is saved by his brother.
Season 5 Maul he forms the Shadow Collective which forces/unites all the Pykes, Black Suns and whoever to join his collective. This is the season he also works with the Deathwatch and takes over Mandalore and claims the dark saber for himself. Killing both BO Katan's sister and Vizsla. Also duels his former master Darth Sidious.
Season 7 Maul is now the leader of Mandalore and has a great duel with Ashoka as order 66 is issued.
Clone Wars and Rebels really created a great story arc for Darth Maul and by the end when he finally died even though still as a villain you began to like him as the old saying goes "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"

Damn the fan service was great here. I'm guessing Grogu s
Chooses Mando. Why else would that be ship have a Grogu port?
Cad Bane looked good in person. I was almost expecting the guy from the Disney ride at first.

Feels like the old Kung fu movie.
Choose the ball and stay with your mother. Choose the sword and come with me.
Well at least psycho Ben won't kill Grogu now.

20 some odd minutes of training with Luke did more to drive home Grogu learning to master the Force than 3 hideously long movies did to demonstrate Rey becoming a powerful Jedi.
Mind you, that isn't a knock on Daisy Ridley or any of the other actors. You can't polish a turd and they were handed some out right stinkers of scripts to work with.
This episode also showed that, to be honest, there is an A and B level with Star Wars on Disney +. Morrison and Wen have delivered some excellent performances but the directing, editing, and so on weren't up to the level of the Mandalorian other than brief spots here and there. The last two episodes have shown what happens when the A team steps in... Filoni and BDH absolutely it.
There are so many possibilities in play right now that you could run story arcs for a decade easily and not have to create anything new. What Favreau, Filoni, and company have done is astounding.

Luke comes back. Helps out and then promptly kills Boba because Boba was trying to kill him last they met.

Side note: Timothy Olyphant is starting to look like a younger version of the older Pierce Brosnan we've come to know lately, imo.

That’s it, I was trying to figure out who he reminded me of. Also, can someone fill me in on that Cad Bane guy? It was a cool scene and I realize they are pushing the space western thing, but the duel in the street and Banes outfit was too comically western, if that makes sense. And where did he come from, how long was walking out there? He obviously got to Tatooine on a ship, why park so far away and walk? It’s the little things that bother me lol

Am I the only one in here who wants Grogu to choose the lightsaber?
Him doing flips gave me Yoda Revenge of the Sith vibes lol

Couldn’t agree more. Makes all this new content with old character appearances all the better.
Also, dead wrong on the Western comments. That’s instantly one of the best live action character intros in the SW franchise imo. He came across as a mysterious bad arse, which he is.
In a nutshell, Cad Bane was basically THE bounty hunter during the Clone Wars era. He was well known and ruthless, and often stood toe to toe with the likes of Obi-Wan, Anakin, Mace Windu, and other Jedi. He and Ahsoka have a history so I’m sure we’ll see more of them soon. He’s a bounty hunter, so like Boba he’s not a villain per se, but certainly an antagonist and did tend to work with the Separatists, Pykes, Hutts, and other villainous organizations.
Along with Ahsoka, Bane is one of the best characters in TCW, so he’s a fan favorite and one most fans have clamored to see pop up in live action for years.

the reverse aging CGI on Luke was much better than in the last epi of Mando. Kudos.

It would make Luke look bad if his first student rejects him. I still think Grogu goes team Mando...
I was hoping Mando would talk with either Asako or Luke about the Dark Saber. Maybe Grogu ends up with this weapon at some point?
They have a great opportunity to recton the JJ Trilogies. I have suggested in the past that this timeline could be written off as some type of "Force Dream" as one alternative outcome if certain choices are (or not) made. If Obi Wan can use the "certain point of view" justification then a force dream can work..

He and Fennec Shand also have history that was shown in The Bad Batch.
RE: Grogu's choice. I think that if he chooses the lightsaber, he will eventually get the armor as well. He will have shown that he has moved past the attachment to Din.

If it wasn’t in the Star Wars universe then I would agree. But a cowboy hat, long coat, and a bullet bandolier? Come on man. Visually, yes that scene was badass. And it’s apparent I need to watch Clone Wars, tried a few episodes and got busy I guess.
