It’s clear you don’t understand the difference between “woke” and “juvenile”. Jar Jar was a cartoon rabbit, who btw is also an incredibly racist character representation, which is the furthest thing from woke.

This last episode was probably my favorite. Besides the cyborg mechanic who looked like he was plucked from the streets of LA it was good. I like how many species of aliens they are putting in this show.

Racist, or "raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacist"? I think if you're working with actual definitions of the word, then you'll admit that it's the latter, since the former would indicate that Gungan DNA was somehow inferior to that of humans.

In the prequels? Absolutely. Sequels, less so. But I could sorta see it. Coruscant is a fashionable place.
I always assumed Coruscant was like District 1 in the Hunger Games, so this totally tracks.

He absolutely is.
This is the sort of drivel I'm meaning.

In The Book of Boba Fett, the once-menacing freelancer has become a softie with a heart of gold. He has relinquished his title as a bounty hunter, become so curiously forgiving that he actually set free a Wookiee assassin just moments after it tried to murder him in his sleep, stroked a rancor behind its ear as if it were his oversized house cat and called a Tusken raider “mate”.
Dude's ruthless as a mofo. I'd be lying if I didn't confess I expected the mob boss family to get fed to the new baby Rancor, as I didn't figure they'd agree to neutrality against the Pykes.

Here's a way to look at it : Boba once had family, then his dad got killed. As a loner, he turned into a ruthless bounty hunter.
Boba learned from the Tuskens that he actually needs/prefers a tribe. The Tuskens got killed. Now, he's looking for a new tribe. I think going soft on his newest tribe members, the wookiee & the rancor, will ultimately show Boba has "strength in numbers" when they all go medieval on the Pykes.

I would guess this will happen when one of the families inevitably double crosses him.
They can't show us the rancor and not have it eat someone.

I wish there was a more solid crime family for Fett to go up against. The Pykes seem Johnny-come-lately, since Solo.

Long dead at this point in the timeline.

Yep, since I don't faithfully follow the comics or novels, I've only seen the Pykes get handled (on film, by Solo, then by Boba after the train heist). I know they are supposed to be menacing but I haven't seen it yet.
So it makes me wonder if they'll reveal another known-menacing group like Crimson Dawn is somehow involved in this sudden Pyke infestation on Tattooine.

In the Legend of Shadows of the Empire, yes.
Unless they whacked him in a post-Disney comic/cartoon that I'm aware of, which may be possible, as I don't follow those. There exists an opportunity to re-introduce the character, as well as Black Sun as a whole.
Isn't Kira getting her own Crimson Dawn series?

Do we know why the Wookie was so pissed at the lizard guys in the bar? Or was he just drunk and looking for a fight? Something to do with his time in the gladiator pits?

Those lizard people are Trandoshans, and they fought against the Wookies in the Clone Wars even taking some of them as slaves.
In the first episode a Trandoshan presents Boba Fett with a Wookie Rug.

Agreed with the previous post. Trandoshans are notorious slavers, and have a cross-species blood feud with the Wookiees.
quote:
The Wookiee–Trandoshan War was a major conflict involving the Wookiees and Trandoshans. It began when the Trandoshan warlord Crahiskk brought an invasion force to Kashyyyk in an attempt to subjugate the Wookiees and sell them as slaves. The Jedi Order was informed of the insurgency and dispatched Zorin Durandu along with his apprentices Dahs Chee and Hish'Pash.
Though the Sith had no direct involvement in this war, a rogue Bpfasshi Ashij Daa joined the war as a neutral combatant, causing chaos and destruction amongst both sides.

I totally thought the little Trandoshan whose arm Santy ripped off was going to turn out to be Kevin Hart in a disguised cameo, when the credits rolled.

Don't feel too bad about the Trandoshan that is one arm down, it will grow back... really.

You've pretty much nailed it. A ruthless killer changing his ways after living w/the natives is a pretty common trope in Westerns and both Boba Fett and The Mandalorian are clearly inspired by classic Hollywood Westerns.

If Fett needs a crime family, I want the whole band back together - Zuckuss, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, Dengar....
The whole bounty hunter enchilada

And, Star Wars ultimately has always been about family, whether actual lineages (Skywalkers, Solos, Palpadines, Fetts, etc) or surrogate familes/band-of-brothers/tribes (Mando/Grogu, Bad Batch, Boba/Tuskens, etc).
