It really is pretty refreshing to have such a diverse cast and race literally plays no role in the story at all. Just great written characters and sharp dialogue.

Never really thought about it like that , but you are right. It’s just a good solid show, with not one reference to race. Just people being people, like most normal sane people do

No. It's just not overtly progressive.
It's not going out of it's way to be anti-woke...it's just not leaning into it. Which is how bad things have now gotten where merely the lack of overt wokeness feels like a push back.
It's a show with a diverse cast that feels real, and hasn't yet made any attempt to try and force feed any social or political messages at the audience.

Will there be a season 2? Seemed to me that they solved all the issues and wrapped things up in the last episode.
