The biggest complaint on here was that he was a mopey Bruce Wayne and not a playboy, which for the life of me I will never understand why people don't get that that was the point. He's solely focused on being Batman and a detective that he has no interest in being a playboy at that point and will have to learn to be one. Which I'm sure while come in part two.

Exactly. He clearly states at the end that he has to change and do more. We'll get charismatic Bruce in the next one.

why does every superhero suit have to change from movie to movie? i think the only movies that this didn't happen in was TDK > TDKR.

It's not that we don't "get that". It just wasn't enjoyable to watch. That movie was a slog to get through. How you can manage to make Batman uncool, I don't know; but Patman managed to accomplish that feat.

it made twice as much as Batman Begins. I think Batman Begins is better

So it made more money but you don’t think it’s as good. That’s the point I was making with Tyler Perry. Profit doesn’t always equal quality.

Batman is in no way similar to Tyler Perry's net worth, apples to oranges. That was simply one of a few metrics I gave to show it was a successful movie and therefore would have anticipation leading up to a second film. It's not that complicated

Tyler Perry’s Madea movies are also obviously successful, yet there’s no anticipation for the latest one. I didn’t think that point was complicated either.

I don’t know how anticipated got equated to high quality. There are many highly anticipated movies that weren’t anything special. I thought The Batman was okay and I really only watched it because I really enjoyed The Penguin, but I can see the sequel being anticipated.

Physically I thought Affleck was the most realistic Batman out of all of them.

You gave Tyler Perry's net worth of 1.4 billion as the point. Tyler Perry's net worth as an individual has nothing to do with the anticipation for his movies

Tell me you understand that using the actual box office results for his movies like I did with Batman would be the better comparison? His 16 movies have made between TEN(!) and 90 million total. Most in the 50 million range. So yea, that goes along with his movies not having much anticipation.

Yep, Ben was awesome. He actually looked like a Batman that criminals would fear. It's a bummer we never got his Batman film.

Yeah, we should’ve gotten a solo Batman movie with Affleck. Just like we should’ve gotten another solo Superman movie with Cavil. Would’ve been great to see that version of Batman facing a villain in Gotham instead of a flying space creature.

They became so obsessed with team up movies that they didn’t see the $800 million movies that were sitting right in front of him. Just like now. A well done solo Superman movie should be getting Spider-man type numbers but Gunn only knows one thing, which is ensemble movies with c-list characters….which is why he won’t be around when The Batman 2 hits theaters.

I’d say it’s tied pretty damned closely to how many people watch his stuff.

Helped that they were filming all 3 movies concurrently, so the 2nd and 3rd movies were already in post-production when the 1st released.

Looks like WB moved Abrams’ new movie from this November to the Oct 2027 date and bumped Batman to February ‘28

Yeah just saw that. Bizarre choice from WB. I was wondering why it got bumped when they had been shooting for about a month already. I thought maybe Pattinson had gotten hurt or something but this makes more sense.

Idk if we’re getting a third film at this rate unless this one is just out of this world fantastic. I liked the first a lot but with the writing delays/Hollywood strikes and now another delay, this one is under more pressure to really fricking deliver
