I'm so sad.
Anna Sawai and Shogun were great. She's a smoke show so that doesn't hurt. Normally a great actress, on a great show, looking real good is going to get my vote. I just think Cristin Miloti was a little better in all aspects, The Penguin included.
But honestly those were two of the best mini series of the past couple years, they unfortunately had to go up against each other.

Overall I think we did pretty good.
I don't really watch award shows much anymore but I'll keep up with the nominees and winners and every time I see The Bear on there listed as a comedy I shake my head. It's just a way to give them more awards so they don't have to go against the drama series. It's not the shows fault but it legit makes me dislike the show a little bit because of it.

The hell with Dune 2, the Count of Monte Cristo was 2024's best film and I'm not even sure it was close

If you’re a fan of the book, there is a new series coming out that is the most accurate adaptation of the story so far. Jeremy Irons plays Abbe Faria. It recently aired in Europe and unfortunately there isn’t a legal way to watch it quite yet. It should be available later this year.

The series was made by the French as well. I’m not knocking the movie. It was far better than the 2002 movie with Guy Pearce. It’s just so difficult to fit that story into 3 hours.
