Nope. First one was better. Had better shock value.
In the second one, we all knew the T2 would keep on coming because we saw the first one.

T2, Predator, Die Hard, and Aliens are the 4 Horsemen easily.
I’ll throw a well known blockbuster but underrated when it comes to thinking of action movies out there:
Independence Day

Nope.
Aliens is the greatest action movie ever.
Scruffy will fight you.

It's hard to argue with T2, Aliens, Predator and Die Hard, but if we're counting 'epics,' then Gladiator would have to be in that mix. John Wick is close too, I've enjoyed those movies way more than the Bourne series.

Predator
Aliens
Mad Max: Fury Road

Agreed.
It's the most recent one I can think of that joins the hall of fame for action films. George Miller should have received Best Director that year but Inarritu's career was peaking at that perfect moment.

Everyone's idea of the GOAT is going to be different. T2 is more in the SCI-Fi than what I personally would call an "Action Film".
I would say that the first Terminator was a sci-fi movie, rather than an action movie.
T2 is first and foremost an action movie. I would categorize it as action with sci-fi elements.
And yes, T2 is easily the goat action movie. It is perfect.

Fury Road is a modern action masterpiece. The only other contemporary film I would put on equal footing is the first John Wick movie.

I've always thought it was cliche audience pandering. The original film is much better, but people complain because it doesn't have modern special effects.
It's good, but "greatest" is like trying to stretch your nutsack up over your head.

Aliens
Die Hard

T2
Recently just rewatched all of them.
Gotta go with Die Hard (there's a reason everyone tried to copy it in the years to follow.)
Then
Aliens
T2
Predator

It's perfect. Show me a better action movie. Please. I don't think it exists
The peak of action set pieces.
The defense rests without objection

I would classify Robocop as science fiction. It has action and some drama. It is certainly a movie that puts the police in a positive light while they have to fight criminals, corrupt city officials and greedy corporate executives.

I would add Judge Dredd to the following:
T2
Aliens
Die Hard
Mad Max fury road
Predator

No argument from me. The movie experience was magical. The special effects, the soundtrack, Arnold in his glory.

The action scenes in T2 are amazing.
Sarah Conner and the T1 are amazing.
The whole plot is amazing.
Edward Furlong sucks donkey nuts in it and is a fricking 11 on a ten-point annoying character scale.
Give me Die Hard or Aliens any day.
I will pose 1 question to the board relevant to this topic: what flaw would you ascribe to The Rock? Because Michael Bay killed that shite and it basically never gets talked about - dialogue on point, villains on point, amazing car chase, intriguing premise, great death scenes all around.
