That’s what I’ve assumed the whole time. Think the scene at end of episode before the match finally showed that’s what was happening. Finally caught up so now I can join the thread. It’s surprising to me how good this show is.

I love Ted and Rebecca as characters but no need to have them end up together instead of just be great friends and colleagues imo.

Found it...Tom Hanks' user name was NY152 and so this is LDN152 (LDN = London)
There were 15-20 (or more) Rom-Com references in the episode.

Can someone better explain Nate's character to me. He always brings every episode down for me. He is depressing having to watch IMO. Is it just me?
He was much better in season 1 than he has been in 2 so far.

Yeah I could definitely see it being a herring
I’d want to say it’s the reporter from the independent trent crim or whatever. But they kind of didn’t push that narrative of Ted vs him so wouldn’t really be a huge drop.
Also feel like Ted is so Ted you’d know it’s him via texting.

The small shots of the texts they showed felt very Ted like. Could be more effort for the red herring but I also wouldn’t rule Ted out based on what they showed us going on in those messages
ETA I think the other alternative to Ted or any others mentioned in here would be to find out that the person she’s been texting is her Ex-Husband

yea this has long dick nate energy all over it. especially with him talking about how picky he is. and rebecca has a little of a running pickiness theme.
also LDN is ripe for humor, they could go many ways with it.

I mean it’s a TV show and everything, but he feels legit like 2 feet shorter than she is, I don’t think they would go down that path
ETA she’s 5’11 and some change, and Nate is 5’4 on a good day apparently

no I dont suspect theyd actually date. the humor of them figuring out they matched each other, their interactions and a fallout can go many hilarious ways. imagine both claiming the other didnt meet their standards or some reason to reject the other. then attention it draws from ted+coach and other players etc.
