10 Part series based on the William Gibson classic that launched a genre.
I've been waiting on this since I first read this book when I was 11 years old.
Hope it's good. Apple TV has done a great job with their scifi series.

Here is an example of taking source material that has content that can be fleshed out and works better as an extended mini series vs a 2 hour movie.

I doubt we will get Count Zero or Mona Lisa Overdrive. It gets pretty weird by Mona Lisa Overdrive with the Voodoo and the AI. I doubt the "modern audience" could handle it. But Molly Millions' story needs to be told.
Hopefully if this kicks off, we get Hardwired by Walter Jon Williams adapted at some point.

I'm in. The story was a big deal to teenage me. Finally seeing it made into series, on Apple TV too, gets me pretty amped.

I have all the books on my shelf, but it has been a long time since I read them in their entirety. So, I read a plot synopsis last night. It makes sense to do it as a series. Like most Gibson novels, it's really more a series of short stories (episodes) with a solid through line. They change locations and missions goals quite often.

I remember truly believing the world would turn out just like the way Gibson envisaged. I used to play Shadowrunners all the time with my cousins, simply because that kind of Cyberpunk future appealed to me very strongly for some reason. Still does. Though older me sees that it isn't large monopolies ruining the future, it's private equity firms in weird incestuous relationships with large governments.

I remember reading Neuromancer and Snow Crash around the same time. I figured for sure the world would be something like in these movies like the other poster. Not yet I guess. I like Snow Crash a little bit more, it is not quite as heavy as Neuromancer, but it is a classic for sure.

Definitely have the best quality content. I just wish they had more content. I guess that’s a catch 22. Keeping the quantity lower helps keep the quality higher.

I haven't read the book, but will pick it up soon.
JD Dillard (creator/director) is a solid dude and passionate about this material.
They had a great production design team and shot in Japan/London, so it should look amazing. The trailer certainly hints as much.
