Paging Belle I want to hear her take.

Had some other stuff going on last night so just got around to watching the episode tonight. Some thoughts:
- Grasso still feels too obvious at this point. Same with the boss making that call, that feels like a big misdirect too. I think her concern is more about Tom’s state of running the task force and whether he should even be in the field.
- I'm rationalizing the phone swap as a SIM card swap.
- I took Grasso getting cold feet that he's low key still holding onto some traditional Catholic values (just like him asking Tom about why he wanted to be a priest) and didn't want to frick a still married chick in the bed she slept with her husband.
- For a brief moment I wondered if it's possible that Tom is the mole and the motivation is to have the gang protect his son in jail.
- I still feel like Aleah is flying under the radar and I can't help but think that conversation with Snickerdoodle about her being an excellent marksman is going to come into play somehow. Not sure how, but it feels relevant. My guess is she misses a shot at some point and it's intentional.
- I appreciate that the writing legitimately has me questioning everyone's motives here and whether they're possibly the mole. IMO that's part of the quality of the show. It's ever evolving.
- Tom Pelphrey just does a phenomenal job of making you sympathize with him. It's going to break my heart when he inevitably dies.
- Shoutout to Cliff for going out without telling them about Robbie. Cause frick those guys. Jason in particular.
- Emily doesn't bother me. But I've worked with kids in those kind of situations before and I think she's portraying the complicated emotions really well.
- I'm afraid Maeve might get killed trying to keep the kids safe.
- I get where Tom’s older daughter is coming from, but she just comes off bitchy. Could also be the actress.

The accents in these shows just kills me. They’re trying to be serious and the accent sounds so stupid .
Enjoying the show . But this accent is woof.

Tom not Jay. Jay is the young biker leader, Tom is the FBI Task force leader. I’ll have to rewatch because someone posted a pic of the tweaker’s phone and said Grasso had it but I thought Jay had it and Grasso had some random phone like another poster said. Looked like it had a light colored phone case.

Sorry, I misspoke.
I just assumed a SIM card was switched and not the physical phone (I would think someone would notice that).

But are they accurate? On The Ringer podcast they said most of them are
I don't really know because I don't know anyone from Delaware County

YouTuber with a Delco accent
Nah, they nailed the Delco accent. Especially Tom Pelphrey.

I rewatched it and they did switch the phones. Jay has the tweaker’s phone with the flyers logo when they’re in the park. They don’t really show how it happened though. We see the phone in the evidence bag Aleah is holding in the first scene of the Ep then the next time we see it Jay has it

I think Stover is the mole. Why? Because it would be the biggest surprise and she just seems off.

I'm afraid Cliff may cause his niece's death. And the gang 100% has matched the gun to her dad.

I will absolutely riot.
Though they did that with Evan Perters in Mare of Eastown.

Preview for next week has Perry going to the house, interrogating Maeve

It really all points to Grasso. But then it also throws hits boss making that shady phone call at us. Which is just so on the nose.

I think if it does end up being Grasso, it won't be as simple as it being Grasso.
I don't want to spoil Mare, but when we found out who the killer was it was definitely complicated. And someone who had been present throughout.

The only reason i think that is that she's the most sympatheic character. She wants to do right by that boy but she doesnt want to ruin the kids lives. She is basically a mother at 21 of Cliff's kids. Cliff tries to play himself off like a good guy in a bad situation but all his issues are his own doing and he deserves his fate. So likely the ones closest to him will get it the worst. Would make for the most tragic take.
Either way I'm drawn in and it's nice to gave a show like this.

It's Robbie, Cliff was the one they just killed (I got named mixed up too
).
But I agree, her loss would be incredibly tragic as the one who has the most promise if she can get away from the situation with her Uncle.

Another reason to add to the stover is the mole list:
Did she freeze up and not shoot the masked man in the house
Or
Did she think it may be a member of the motorcycle club and didn’t want to kill them?
