Really? I just took that as sorry for Robbie. I felt like that part of the story was closed but I could be wrong. Kind've hope I am now that you say it.

Also, only one episode left so that's a lot of story to wrap in one.

Yea I could easily be wrong too, probably am. If Jayson and/or Perry make it out of hiding, or if Jayson even makes a phone call to one of the other Dark Hearts, Maeve is going to have some pressure on her. I'm not saying that a whole new story is going to pop up in the last episode but I think Maeve is going to need to take the kids somewhere. They would know Robbie left either the drugs or money with her. Though the odds of both Jayson and Perry living are pretty slim.

But I want nothing but good things to happen to Maeve and hope she's able to ride off into the sunset with the money.

So if you’re ranking the performances who do you go with? If you only get 3 Emmy nods, who you got?

Robbie
Grasso
Ruffalo or Maeve

Wow, tough call.

Lead actor: Tom
Supporting actor: Robbie
Lead and/or supporting actress: Maeve

Grasso misses the cut. He shined last episode but overall the others have been better.

Or is Jayson Perry's son?

They say it in one of the first episodes that Perry has no children so he took Jayson as kind of surrogate son.

She also faces the threat of federal prosecution for multiple accessory crimes. Ruffalo told the US Atty he didn't think it was worth it to charge her because it would just orphan two more kids and she was thrown into a bad situation but the Atty didn't seem as convinced.

Now that she has a backpack full of drug money, I doubt she will get any leniency unless she turns it in and asks for protection. OTOH, how could she trust the Feds now? She needs the money to run away.

I assumed that the charges were dropped because she was released and went home. I don't believe she had the money to post bail. I could be wrong though.

And how do the Feds know this, exactly?

I just started this and on E3, not reading spoilers, but I see some foreshadowing happening. I have a bad feeling about what’s going to happen with Mauve.

Brad Ingelsby’s “Task” has seen steady growth over the course of its season, with its penultimate episode seeing a 32% rise in viewers compared to its premiere.

Episode 6, which debuted Sunday, Oct. 12, brought in more than 4 million U.S. viewers across HBO, HBO Max and other streaming platforms, according to Nielsen live-plus-three-day viewing data and internal figures from Warner Bros. Discovery. The strong viewership marks a significant uptick from the 3.1 million viewers brought in by the premiere episode, which boosted “Task” to rank among the top 5 HBO series debuts in platform history.

- Robbie is definitely going to die (and I'm gonna cry). But I think he does it saving Tom or some of the FBI folks. I could also see Tom taking down Jason after Robbie told him it was Jason that killed all these folks, maybe after he shoots Robbie. Again, so many potential things can happen here. - Maeve's going to end up being the one to have to take care of Robbie's kids. Which is tragic but I'm guessing she lives now that she ended up going to the FBI (rightfully so). - After Robbie's conversation with Tom in the car, I'm guessing we get a scene where Tom is there with Robbie when he dies.

damn, girl.

Why didn't Tom handcuff Perry when he had him knocked out? He's a cop, he had to have had handcuffs on him and just seems irresponsible not to take 10 seconds to handcuff a knocked out cold dude.

I got 10 downvotes for basically asking the same question and mentioning how the shootout was kind of badly directed. Dallastigers mentioned it just above how they look like they were shooting like stormtroopers.

Sounds like I definitely need to watch Mare of Eastown from all the mentions in this thread.

This show is great and not only am I caught up, I watched Mare of Easttown, which has been on my watchlist forever and some was spoiled in this thread. It's all good with the spoiling - I was still shocked and surprised when I saw it.

Spoilers...

If Mauve doesn't make it, I might punch my TV.

I hope she kills Jayson to avenge her dad and Robbie, and gets away with the kids. The Robbie Canada?

Well, honestly I didn't know Task still had another episode to go when I started watching.

I kinda went in blind with Belle recommending, so I still have an episode of Task left.

Task is great, I love so many characters. Robbie and Tom are heart.

But I get Mare and her struggle. The final cut of her and Lor is just amazing.

Just caught up on this show waiting on the last episode. This show has been really good. The acting has been superb, and the emotions have been all over. Really feel for Maeve and Robbie.

This is going to be one of the shows I rewatch. I do that a bit with great shows.

But also, I don't even want to see the end on Sunday.
