It's smart to keep Rodney at this point. He runs his mouth too much, and he thinks he is some great strategist. If you make it to the end with him, you just make a list of all his plans that either failed or never came to fruition because everyone realized how terrible they were.

I'd love to see Mike somehow convince Dan and Rodney that he wants to do the honorable thing and take the best to the end with him. Those two are gullible enough to believe they are the 3 best.

Definitely.

The only one left I wouldn't want to go to the final with is Mama C. Maybe Sierra.

Anyone want to analyze and try to figure out who wins this? (without cheating). I figure Mike is going to get voted out at 5, he will play idol next round if he doesn't win immunity. or 4. the next player out will probably be Dan. That will leave the skinny girl, mike, Rodney, older lady, and the black guy. Everyone wants the black guy at the end with them. Targeted should be the ones that will get the finale votes - older lady and Mike. Dans two votes are huge now. Bottom line - the older lady will win IMHO, but I want Mike to of course. Dan's 2 votes may tilt this whole thing if he plays it right.

I don’t know if I would have been able to keep my mouth shut since I’m generally annoyed by people who make huge deals about their birthday.

It’s funny to me that Rodney thinks his game is strategic when in reality no one would mind bringing him to the final since he’s annoying and hasn’t accomplished anything on the show.

Yeah, those muscles appear to be all for show. To be fair, a lot of these individual immunity challenges require more pain endurance and not as much strength. Still though, he has sucked in pretty much every challenge no matter what the requirement.

As for predicting a winner, I think it will be Mama C. I don't particularly like her, but she will have earned it if she wins. Mike pretty much has to win out with immunity. I hope he does. Will, Rodney, and most likely Sierra would get no votes in a final 3. Dan may get a couple of votes, but he is more likely to talk his way out of votes at the final tribal than to gain votes.

I hate spoilers and will be PO'd if CBS let a spoiler slip. Jeff told viewers to go to a CBS webpage to vote for who you want to see on the next season of Survivor. They are called "Second Chance" survivors and two of the three big players from this season are listed. Yeah, they don't know who has won it all until the live vote, but CBS has to know that these two deserve a second chance (i.e. they don't win this season).

Don't go to the page they mentioned on the show if you don't want to know. FYI- Kelly Wigglesworth is a candidate.

a little clarification on the 2 contestants still alive in the game

If one of those 2 wins then they will be ineligible to return and the person with the next highest number of votes (assuming they get voted in) takes their place.

Short of leaving them out of the selection pool and only using those who were voted out prior to this week, they had to do it this way to avoid spoiling who won.

All the shite talking about mike being crazy. Crazy like a fricking fox. Dude know his game. But I don't see him making it past the next round and get in the finals

Agree. He is smarter than he acts. I like the way he is working the other against each other.

Hope he wins

Glad Dan is gone. He was not good at the game. He had a chance to change the game earlier and failed to take advantage.

Not to mention his annoying way of dragging out everything he says dramatically.

Momma C rocked his world. That face was priceless.

Yeah, that was so grating. I loved his face when he realized Mama C had a hidden idol. He did get kind of screwed in the situation, though. The timing of when he had to play his advantage and when the hidden immunity idol has to be played really hurt him. If he kept his advantage in his pocket, Mama C might not have felt the need to play her idol. Although, it was the correct play no matter what for her. She has been good in challenges. So, you guarantee yourself getting to final 5, then you take your 20% chance (most likely higher) of getting immunity.

It may have also been a dumb play on his part. He probably should have figured he was either all the way out or all the way in. His extra vote wouldn't change anything. Maybe it is just a bit more clear for the viewer, I guess.

I just watched his secret scene and he said the extra vote couldn't be played after the final five tribal council, and he was worried about playing it then because it would have made the vote total 6 and potentially forced a rock draw. So I think his logic was solid to play it last night. I think if he had known about Carolyn's idol he may not have done it.

I am interested to see if Carolyn had already decided to play the idol going into TC, or if Dan pulling out the extra vote is what made her do it.

And count me in the 'Mike has won me over' camp.

Last night's episode was epic! Like a lot of you, I wasn't originally pulling for Mike. That changed when I saw how good a game the guy was playing. Sure, it's not a perfect game, he really screwed up the timing on confronting the other Blues about Rodney flipping on them, but he's actively tryig to win this thing. He's scrambled for hidden immunity idols, won some really TOUGH challenges, and tried his best to pull apart the alliance that has been out to get him. At first he came across as a dumb redneck, but whether that was intentional or not, it was NOT the case. He's got a strategic mind and a good knowledge of Survivor 101 tactics and history. Not to mention, he's strong in both physical and mental challenges.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that fricking goomba Rodney has failed at every aspect of this game. Here's the dude who looks like he lives in the gym, and he SUCKS at physical challenges. He may have muscles, but he is mentally weak and most of these challenges are a "mind over matter" thing. He has the maturity of a 3 year old brat and it shows in so many ways. The funny thing is, he's still talking like he's the king of the island. He strikes me as a spoiled mamma's boy who's been told all his life that he's perfect in every way. He touts himself as a "blue collar" guy but I'll bet you money his business in construction is a family business that Daddy built and he's been handed on a silver spoon. If he wins this I will be very disappoint.

Caroline really showed her Survivor instincts last night. First, by not falling for Rodney's "boohoo woe is me" BS and keeping the reward challenge for herself. Hell, she's the reason her team won the thing when she picked up on the clues Jeff was dropping. By taking the reward she had in incredible experience, had more time to bond with Mike, got some much needed food, and deprived Rod from that food. Keeping Rod from the food is having a major impact on Rod's ability to think straight, which was evident in tribal counsel. Like Sun Tzu said, keep yourself strong and your enemies weak.

And then there's blowhard mantitty Dan. I LOVE that his sense of superiority came crashing down around his manteats last night! Mike tried to warn him but no, he knew better. Then, he plays his advantage, thinking he's just made "the move" of the season, and Caroline promplty not only trumps his move, but sends his obnoxious yankee arse home! BOOM!! HAHAHA. See ya Dan, go back to hauling junk mail and Land's End catalogues. For a "super fan" I think you're going to feel like a real idiot when you go back and watch the season. Every instinct you had was wrong. Every move you made PUT you in the jeapordy you were always fighting against.

Will and Daryl Hannah are throw away contestants, they have been non factors for the most part. Sure Sierra is nice to look at but that huge keloid scar under her jaw and those really bad tatooed on eyebrows are just too damn distracting. Will is a human mushroom. He just sits there. I don't think he can point to one thing he has accomplished on the show.

I've watched every season of this damn show. It's a guilty pleasure I guess. This season has steadily improved.

Not a Dan fan, but he was almost forced to play it out the way he did. Kind of a "damned if he did, damned if he didn't" situation.

What will be interesting is Rodney's reaction to Mama C's snubbing of him plus her surprise idol play. He thinks he is some brilliant strategerist, but almost everything with him is a childish emotional reaction. I could see him turning on her because of a perceived lack of loyalty.

I think Will and Masshole Rodney are mortal locks to make it to the finale. Whichever of the two strongest players survive (Mama C or Mike), they are going to drag those two dopes along with them to the end.

Even my 9 and 7 year old were picking up on Rodney's entitlement attitude and were mocking him. I know he will get to the end but if he wins I'll be pissed.
