That was a totally stupid move. They take out Yellow Sophie but leave the three people calling the shots alone just to appease Sage who has to be an extremely miserable person in real life.

Who cares if Yellow Sophie voted out her alliance. Steven, Chritina, and YS should have told her who to vote for. While they still have the numbers, vote out Rizo or Savannah. How can you take a person on a reward, and he basically tells you what to do. Sage is a wild card and has always been one. Why not isolate her and feed her what she wants to hear. This was their chance to get out Savannah and now the three will vote together till the end. If Blue Sophie doesn't make a move, she will get no votes against Rizo and Savannah. They just gave the game to Rizo. I know its at a 1000 ft level, but how does Steven not see this and tell Sage to wait on Y Sophie. You take out Savannah or Rizo.

Yeah letting Savannah and Rizo slide by another week without getting immunity or burning his idol is crazy.

Rizo's playing a very similar game to Tony in season 40 with Savannah as his Sarah.

If he wins immunity one of the next two weeks and uses his idol for the other he's worst case making fire.

I agree Yellow Sophie was a bigger threat than Sage or Christina, but still a short sighted move.

Christina is zero threat at this point unless she just gets the black sympathy vote.

Even though I am not the biggest fan of her, I really hope Soph is planning to take Rizzo's idol at one of these later tribals to be her big move in the game. If I am not mistaken, nobody knows about this advantage.

Well, Sophie was the first non-black player on the jury. So, that could be something.

Christina is 1000% making the final three because they all think they can beat her as she’s not a threat. Until she has a majority on jury then she wins. However I do think this cast isn’t going to get rise of Rizzo or Savannah…so she may be a casualty of an easy vote in the next two tribals.

Survivor 50 news aside, this latest boot was made wayyyy too obvious by the editing.

Are we losing a main character in Rizo or some random background guy with hardly any screen time since episode 4 in Alex?

Wish the editing was more even...

We think about it differently. I don't care if I know who is going home. I'm more interested in the why behind the votes. I could know ahead of time every time up till final tribal and I don't think I would care.

This could be a huge move if she steals his idol and then boots him in one of the next two weeks. You're right that no one knows about it.

There should also be another idol in play now after Kristina burned hers. No one has been shown hunting for it.

I was thinking about that watching this episode. I am thinking producers strongly suggest when they should and should not hunt. Otherwise we would have seen scrambling on last nights episode.

Yep - blue Sophie can win this all if she uses her power advantage to get rid of Rizzo. If he makes it to final 3, he wins.

Sophie has the story of going to tribal over and over with her original tribe, adapting at the merge, being in the bottom 3 again, and rising to the top. She has trust but never gave up her knowledge. Savannah is so disliked by all, that even though she played a good game, whoever is sitting next to her will probably get more votes.

One comment from tribal popped in my mind just now that I forgot about. It was Sophie saying something along the lines of "Two 31 year old hotties going at each other" or something.

1. I assumed Savannah was a lot older. Her being out of the news business already and the apparent work on her face made me assume late 30s.
2. Sophie calling herself a hottie is presumptuous. She has a beautiful face that looks like she is wearing makeup on a deserted island, but she needs to tighten things up. I was hoping making it to the end might attain that, but she still looked pretty dumpy this episode.

Nope.

Steven Kristina and Sage control the next vote with his block vote advantage.

Worst case for them is if Savannah wins immunity then Rizzo can play his idol for himself and they have to settle for blue Sophie. But those three would still decide who goes home at final 5.

In theory it was a solid move, as long as he didn’t have to use his advantage he didn’t care as long as Kristina and Sage were ok. Plus they clearly won points with the jury by getting Sophie out, so it worked on multiple levels.

But the problem with his plan is he doesn’t know about Sophie’s KIP advantage, which could blow that up.

My question is why didn’t Rizzo push to just vote out Kristina if he’s so convinced about the steal a vote.

Assuming he knows he’s ok either way and isn’t worried about losing Sophie or Savannah. Still pretty ballsy to trust Steven and hold that idol knowing that if yellow Sophie had gone with Steven Sage and Kristina the numbers were there to get him out. Just supremely confident in his read of everyone week after week.

Back to Steven’s advantage, the note said he had to use the block vote before votes are cast. If Sophie doesn’t know to use it before the vote, not wait until Jeff reads the vote when he asks if anyone has an idol or advantage she might his her chance??

Either way, next tribal will be very interesting.

If she waits until tribal council she'll miss her chance to steal Stephen's advantage because he'll have already used it and won't have it on him.

Unless he didn't use it... but then she can't use it either until the next tribal council.

I think I'd be pulling for Rizzo if it wasn't for all these unnecessary fake idol plays at tribal. The one tonight was completely pointless. I was excited to see all the drama with the steal, and I was shocked Kristina and Sage turned on Steven.

I am really surprised that they flipped on Steven as well... but.. I also think it was the better play. If Steven had pulled off the blocked vote blindside plus being generally likeable he'd have been a favorite to win over Sage and Cristina.

Now Blue Soph sort of looks like a dud with a failed advantage play so Sage could potentially win if they get Savannah out then beat Rizo at fire.

Still think one of that pair wins though.

So Sage and Kristina flipped on Steven. Now the Tre Amigos will vote them out if they don’t win immunity or find an advantage. Steven had a plan to have their alliances in the majority vote and both turned on them. He was basically the only threat to Savannah. So I bet Savannah wins it all.

I’m tired of seeing Rizo cry every episode and flaunt this idol he has. Vote that mf'er out.

Soph cost herself a million dollars tonight. After her little speech, which then everyone believes she is going to ask Steven, if she had asked Rizzo, taken his idol for herself, and then gotten Rizzo out, the whole jury would’ve been on her side because they were fed up with his idol antics.

So Steven smartly gives his advantage to either Sage or Kristina, yet one of them use it to block Savannah’s vote even though both of them voted Steven out. That makes no sense to me.
Why would you not just keep it and use it when you need it?

He played his advantage before they left for tribal council. Therefore when Soph asked about it, he already played it. Unbeknown by her, and he didn’t have to lie.
