Boring episode, bad decision making, but at least Danny stayed safe.

Can’t get over how stupid that tribe was for not dumping Tiffany. She’s terrible, and there’s no way they win a challenge if there is no tribe switch.

Old school Survivor would have booted Tiffany last week, she's terrible. Now they hunt the threats and keep the weak, and I hope it bites them in the arse later.

Yeah, big mistake keeping Tiffany.

Is that clue they showed last week and tonight at the challenge some game for the audience to play?

So if Xander went home tonight, I'm assuming they would have hidden his advantage for someone else to find.

That's my problem with 6 team tribes to start seasons. It won't bite them in the arse. If they stay strong with their 3, they know a tribe shakeup will save them. Then, when they end up with two large tribes, they can sell themselves as a voting block of 3 and stay safe.

Gonna be weird next episode when the guy has to repeat the butterfly phrase at the immunity challenge again.

Beyond stupid. Screw the "girl power" crap, she basically quit during the challenge and they kept her sorry arse. What a moronic move.

I was wondering if they somehow gave them new phrases each week. If they don't, people are going to start thinking this dude is weirdly obsessed with butterflies.

Yes it's supposed to be for kids to play along.

Yes, that's how it normally works. They really should have blindsided him if they weren't going to just dump Tiffany.

They had to pacify Tiffany because she was so convinced Xander had a hidden immunity idol. They really should have dumped her because of her comp performance AND her instability and paranoia. They're not going to be able to control her. I thought that Abby girl was a little smarter, but I guess not, but it was also really dumb of Xander to tell her he found that advantage.

Like a true idiot. No one can just keep an idol or advantage to themselves.

ETA: and Evvie read the advantage and knew 100% that the other phrases weren't said so Xander didn't have immunity. Tiffany not trusting that piece of information should have been enough for the other two girls to turn on her.

She was an idiot.

Other girl was like "I literally read the note"

"Girl Power"

I hope they all go out soon. Absolutely no logical thinking going on.

"Girl Power"

I feel like everyone on the show is pretty much a superfan, but people constantly err in the same way. Gender, race, etc. based alliances don't work. They're not backed up by anything. So, anytime you see these start to form, you can bet they will fail miserably.

Also, Brad and Xander are breaking the rule I would have for myself before the merge. If you are an able-bodied male, keep your mouth shut, help in camp, and dominate in challenges. You should be practically a mute when it comes to strategizing pre-merge. Anything you say can just bring heat on yourself. If you don't rock the boat, you are almost guaranteed to make the merge. Then, you start playing the game.

Absolutely correct, on all points.

The only time I remember it working was the first Fans vs. Favorites when Parvati and Amanda created the girls' alliance and they basically dominated.

I do think Xander is approaching the game the right way, but he just ended up on the worst tribe. If his tribe was the one winning every immunity challenge, he'd be a favorite to win the season right now.

I still think Xander is going to do well, he dodged a bullet this week, but all he needs is a win or a swap to regain footing.

As much as I think it was a moronic move to share the advantage, the threat of it did keep him safe.

But he is a useless person to have in an alliance until he gets a vote. That new idol is really punishing. Not only do two other people have to find idols at their camp, but they also have to choose to take the risk and make their secret announcement at tribal. A lot has to happen before Xander even gets a vote back. It was actually a pretty good move by Evvie to keep him. He's harmless at the moment.

There are two other phrases. One is about a goat on astroturf and the other is about broccoli just being small trees.
