I think Ricard is going to go far. I didn't really care for him, but he has a good mix of social, physical, and leadership to make it far if he doesn't piss people off. I can see his personality rubbing people the wrong way.

I got the impression he may be at the bottom of that tribe now. Genie voted for him to save Brad as a backup plan in case Sarah played her shot in the dark or an idol. Long way to go though. Nick Wilson was going to be the first boot in DvG but we saw how that turned out.

Jeff has said before that the applicants are 80% white... but with thousands of applicants (I assume) each season that leaves plenty of minorities to choose from, but they are disproportionally represented compared to the applicant pool.
There have been no shortage of memorable non-white people on the show, though.

My biggest problem with this season is them treating it like the 2020 nfl draft. All these sob stories feel a bit exhausting.

100% agree with that. I appreciate the backgrounds, but episode 1 was too heavy on the pre-produced sob story. It's better to devote time to the backgrounds via actual conversations between contestants.

They borrowed that narrative technique from survivor Australia but they do it better by focusing more on careers and how it relates to the game rather than personal struggles.

How many black contestants need to be in a Survivor cast for thing to be "fair"? It's not 50%.

Yes. It was like watching the Olympics.
My big disappointment was Jeff saying how they were going to mix things up and show lots of footage of producers working on game wrinkles before announcing them to the players. We got nothing in episode 1 except for some camera shots that captured other cameramen.
Danny said he wasn’t good at football - walked on at LSU. He was highly rated and recruited. Game play!

He said in his preseason interviews he was going to lie about his career path. He also said he was going to be very aggressive and hunt for idols and take advantages at any point he could do I’m surprised he passed up the opportunity for an extra vote.

By a weird glith E2 showed up on my Hulu account this morning, watched it but it won't let me watch it again.
Butterflies are just dead relatives. LOL
The speed is really impacting the game though tribal was not as fiery as last week. If there was any agenda being pushed at all this week I missed it.

That's good to hear. It takes a lot of wokeness to bother me to the point of turning off a show I've invested time in (looking at you, Superstore), but we were getting too close.

I'm so confused but for a person to do everything to look like a guy and wants to move forward in the game with a girls alliance--- this will be a weirdo season.
