Yep. I think Dan probably pushes boundaries but not intentionally. People like Kellee turn it into something much worse. The girls, if uncomfortable, should just say we don't like that crap and we're going to vote you out if you don't stop. Janet fell for something you should never do on Survivor. Vote strategically, not emotionally.

While I didn't enjoy this episode or many others this season, I do enjoy reading the SJWs on Reddit melting down since their 2 favorite SJWs got voted off tonight.

They need to blow this season up and move on to 40. What an unmitigated embarrassment.

This season has been terrible with all the soapboxing, now that Jamal is gone maybe it'll get better in that regard...but I think tonight's editing sank the chances of all the girls and Dan obviously. Don't see this merge being very exciting.

2 trash seasons in a row, and with all winners bringing back edge of extinction there's no way it lives up to expectations. Rough spot for survivor right now.

Did you completely miss Aaron's reaction at tribal? Or many of the responses in this thread, presumably from guys? The default reaction is to call their claims BS, belittle them, and in this game it likely would have put a huge target on their backs.

One person on the whole tribe handled this situation admirably - Janet. And she's the one that nearly paid the ultimate game price for it.

So this is the first season I've skipped in a while

From what I hear a couple chicks made up a story about a guy being super touchy feely in the hopes they could manipulate their fellow tribe mates.

And when it came out during tribal it turned into a #metoo/#believeallwomen fest?

Yes, she paid the price. Don't vote based off of emotions and what other girls (or guys) say based off of hearsay. Did Janet feel uncomfortable by Dan? It sounded like she didn't but listened to the other girls instead.

If they really feel uncomfortable by Dan then they'll get rid of him. Don't preach that crap to me. I'm not there. Based off what I saw, it seems Kellee turned it into something much bigger.

Come on guys. The producers held a meeting with the Tribe to discuss boundaries Then, they had one-on-ones. And, if that was not enough, they gave Dan a formal warning.

I'm appalled by Missy, Elizabeth, and Aaron. And Dan pretending to be blindsided even AFTER he was given a formal warning? Garbage.

This episode did no favors to improving society. What a horrible group of people. Fess up to what you did.

-------

eta. the Island of the Idols twist is a DUD even if you ignore the SJW subplot. What a waste. 40 can't get here fast enough.

Naw, he was super touchy feely. They just used it to advance their game instead of just fricking letting the dude know it bothered them, giving him a chance to handle that maturely, and moving o with their lives.

Janet did exactly the right thing. She got wind of it, and did what none of the girls expected. She actually said something to Dan about it so he could address his behavior.

And frick Jamal with his "men have a responsibility to believe women". We have a responsibility to listen to women. We have a responsibility to take their stories seriously and consider how something could be interpreted differently from how we intended. We have no fricking responsibility to blindly believe a story that just being told could ruin our life.

So, you're taking CBS/Survivor's word for it. As if the media in this #metoo movement has been credible. Please don't feed me your bullshite.

Quite the contrary! A bunch of women compromised their character to drag the only woman telling the truth because they got caught manipulating a #metoo situation for gameplay. Disgusting.

Only dude who did what you said got voted out, but I appreciate him for standing up for the one person telling the truth.

Man...frick Elizabeth she was by far the worst. The way she used this shite then tried to pretend she didn't. She even said Dan had touched her on her hip. If I'm Janet at the reunion show I would stand up at the beginning and demand an apology from all those pieces of shite. Dan was creepy the way he touched the women though, there's no scenario where he should've been playing with that girls toes since he's married.

One odd thing in that regard is jeff acting like he knew nothing of this happening. Then you get the insinuation that Jeff is really wanting to sum it up as a situation where "real life situation" got infused into gameplay. THEN 3 minutes later Jeff is pretending to be the SJW god and declaring they would sit there till day 39 if needed for him to finish his cross examination of the guy. Really non-consistent.

My biggest beef. As much as I have always liked Jeff and how he handled things on the show, he totally used this BS and rallied behind it. He acted like he knew northern even though there had been one on one meetings. He was baiting Dan which was wrong.

If they were going to have one on one meetings, they should not have even told the audience. It should have happened, like many things do behind the scenes, and moved on. But like Dan said, they wont let it die.

These girls wheeled the "Dan is a creep" angle as a tool in the game which in my mind, crossed a boundary. At some point, there will be a girl come out during a season and say another player raped them during the night, to get them voted off or kicked out. That is where it is headed.

It was a line that should not have been crossed and Jeff should not have feed that.

There are camera men and producers with them 24/7.

Correct me if I'm incorrect, but didn't this all begin when one of them asked Dan for a massage, or at least he volunteered to give a female one (and did)?

You know, being an old white guy I would have to start out the first day and explain my "rules". "I sleep on my right side, if its cold and you want body heat, I don't care if you get back to back with me, I won't think anything about it. I'm sure none of you want to do that, but I will never initiate body contact." or something like that. Probably get booted first day.

Aaron's tribal was a really bad look with some of the crap he was saying to Janet.

You know it is a completely fricked up situation when Janet is the one apologizing and breaking down at the end when she did absolutely nothing wrong.

That is exactly right. They all played her. She was trying to figure out what she did wrong when it was absolutely nothing. Even Jeff made her look bad.

That happens all the time. Kelle had let Dan know she was uncomfortable with him touching her so he stopped. Obviously, he stopped for 2 weeks? and then they are walking down the beach together. She says something about her hair being dirty and he lightly touches it to see if there is any sand in it and she runs off like he grabbed her boob. Think she simply baited him, he thought it was over and done but she baited him into "touching her" so she could over react. Her thinking- "Ok, I warned him, now play it cool for a while, then lightly bait him, and I'm a victim".

Don't see it that way at all. Very bizarre episode and the stupidity of having 2 idols and not playing one of them is baffling. The whole Dan thing was blown way out of proportion. If you don't like it, make a scene in front of everyone. It would stop then.

This season is definitely not Survivor at it's best. Quit freaking catering to the SJW crap. It's ludicrous.
