I actually think it was an awful move at that point.
Jeff told them that anyone voted out would have the chance to go to extinction. Basically, if you vote him out and you happen to get voted out as well the only chance you have to get back in is beating Joe in a challenge.
I guess the big group is confident enough in their numbers but man I'd wait it out a bit and get out Wentworth and David before throwing down the gauntlet on the sole source of your food at this point.

At some point getting voted out is going to mean the end. Giving Joe a chance to get back in was just dumb. Wentworth was the vote

I think the move was fine, given the unknown parameters of Extinction Island. At some point, Joe is going to start crushing the individual immunity challenges, holding power, and getting more difficult to get out. Get him out the first chance you get and roll the dice he doesn't get back into the game.
Aubrey is going to be pissed to see him show up though.

I thought for sure Aubry was going to win that challenge and get back into the game. Felt the edit was leaning that way, which makes me think she will at some point. Anyone beating Joe in a challenge would be a surprise though at this point. Damn shame he never has a chance because people are afraid of him instantly. He has zero room for error on individual immunity challenges.

You'd think by now Joe would develop a social game. He's nice enough to everyone, but sitting in the shelter doing crafts all afternoon while everyone else plots is some serious arrogance.

The only logical reason to keep Joe around at this point would be to use him as a shield.
Although the other returning players still fill that role pretty well.

Now, Joe might be surprised to see them, since the players still in the game didn't see that the extinction crew was given the choice to go back and keep playing.
Or maybe he saw only three on the jury and figured it out.
Double edged sword for the people at extinction... Joe might be able to provide food through fishing to keep them stronger... but you'll also have to go through him to get back into the game.

Not sure how I feel about everyone voted out so far, minus the quitters, being on the jury.
Which includes the always pleasant and graceful Reem who was pretty much the easiest first vote in recent memory.
