Blondie looks better in a bikini than Darnell.

Bye Darnell.

All in all a pretty good premier. Several people to dislike, which makes a good show, several people to feel sorry for, but not yet someone to really root for (like Joe). Viet guy made a bad mistake with the hunting of the idol, but I think the producers probably calculated an overreaction to add to the story. He seems like a good guy and a great person. Sure at the end everybody will agree he belonged with the "beautiful" people because of what he brings with his heart (thats the point I guess). It seems like the older lady in the brains group would have watched enough survivor to know constant talking puts a target on your back. That would bother me. Targeting older people cause they are older also bothers me, but it usually does not play out that way. Still think the big guy is gonna injure himself and be removed...thats just too big a body to keep up with in the wild. No predictions yet, obviously the tat guy is played the Russel Hansen version of survivor- interesting to see if that still works. Love the show obviously.

Stupid arse DVR didn't pick it up last night because each season has a unique name. Dammit!

Oh well, I'm sure it'll be on demand in the next day or two.

Pretty sure you can also watch the episode via the CBS site.

Maybe Tai and Blondie are purposely on the wrong tribes as a twist. Maybe he's a brain and she's a beauty. Was there anyone else who seemed out of place?

I thought I'd hate Caleb, but he was tolerable, and maybe even likable, at least in the first episode.

It annoys me how in recent Survivor seasons, someone is voted out with little justification shown in the episode. There had to be something else that happened with Darnell for them to vote him out. Sure, he lost the goggles and that put them behind, but Alicia barely pulled the rope, then just stood there staring at the puzzle not knowing what to do. She was useless in the challenge. It made absolutely no sense if they were voting on immunity challenge performance, which is how the editing framed it. I know they have to keep a small element of surprise, but something similar has happened once or twice over the past few seasons.

But this looks like it's going to be a pretty good season. Lots of dynamic personalities. I like Tai(sp?), Caleb, the nerdy statistician girl on the brains, the poker player, and the black girl on the brawns. I absolutely hate that tall guy on the Beauty tribe. I hope he's the one airlifted out of there because someone smashes his stupid face in.

Yes, I agree, but you never know....could have been the non african americans deciding the two a a would be a force if they got an ally (something politically incorrect which they would not air). Or, and most likely, is that the person voted off was just not well liked. The guy did all he could do to own up...makes you realize how easy it is to lose the game with one slipup...ie, dropping the googles. Seems like he could have tried a lot harder to either find the googles or go after the oars without them.
Like you said, seems like they could show the "reasons" for the vote better.

Maybe it was because he took a shite in the water not far from where they bathe, swim, look for food, etc? That would have done it for me.

You being funny or did this happen? I missed a little of show. If true, that would do it for me also. BUT, I thought survivor began providing outhouses for them a few seasons ago

I thought that, but they were all laughing and cutting up when he did it, so I don't know. Maybe their attitude changed once he was out of earshot.

I also considered they didn't want to show the white members plotting to break up the two black members.

2 very good theories, and both plausible. I just don't think they made their decision only on his losing the goggles in the immunity challenge, and it annoys me how the editing presented that as the reason. It made no sense to me when Alicia's performance was way worse than his.

Well crap, if he did do that then thats the reason. Totally stupid and gross and unsafe and unhealthy and stupid. And gross.

Dig a fricking hole away from everything and cover.

I was thinking this. It's like they intentionally put a couple of them on the wrong tribe. I have no ida why.

Yeah, it happened. Pretty close to the beginning of the show if I remember correctly. He was close enough to everyone that they could still shout at each other.

That was fricked up. They were clowning him, but that would have sealed his fate in my book. I don't really remember them ever showing anybody taking a dump on other seasons, but they showed him and the whole tribe watching him. Way too close to camp bruh
