Surviving Barstool

Well they just dropped episode 1 last night and Portnoy is a contestant if you're interested.

The premise is similar to Survivor. 2 tribes, compete in challenges and vote people out. The contestants can't leave the barstool office. Winner gets $100k.

Some random thoughts:

1) Its hilarious that Jerry has no idea how the game works. You'd think he'd have at least looked up the past seasons of surviving barstool if not a season or 2 of actual survivor.

2) Dave is the worst teammate ever. He's the guy that never takes a big shot but criticizes anyone else that misses the big shot. I know its part of his schtick but it really puts his teammates/employees in no win situations. Either they don't step up and he criticizes them for that or they do step up and if they fail he buries them for it. If they step up and succeed, he doesn't praise them, he just acts like its what they were supposed to do and moves on. Fun to watch but has to be frustrating to be a part of.

3) Rico is an actual psycho and should avoid competitive situations cuz he might accidentally kill someone.

4) Tommy is the greatest gameshow player in the history of game shows.

5) Nate might be the worst athlete I have ever seen.

6) Big cat was doomed from the start cuz he was more worried about having a fun team to hangout with than strategizing. Also moving him away from the hallway was stupid. The stool team couldn't have won because they never would have gotten any shots off. They needed to move Rico but he should have stayed put.

7) Compton was a DOG in the goal.

Kirk cracks me up. “So anything goes? I can just leave and burn you house down?”

Nate and Jeff yelling at eachother was hilariously cringe

Jerry going full Michael Scott when revealing he has the game game killed me. He tried so hard to keep it to himself for 7 seconds

Seeing things genuinely make Dave laugh will always make me laugh

I love the fact that there are zero rules to this game show.

It is really really good. I didn't understand a couple of the people they selected to be on it but I really think everyone brings something unique and entertaining.

Everyone should give this show a try

Jerry and Will are crushing it, I think part of it is they truly have no idea what the show is about

IDK, I see what you are saying but I don't think I agree fully. Sure it made for a great episode but if the rest of the show is both teams trying to steal the plans then it kinda ruins it a bit.

The proper response should have been. "We fricked up but we did say that anything goes so nothing changes." Trying to act like they didn't frick up is what made Jeff and his producers look so bad.

The other option would have been to edit it to make it look like the plans were left on purpose similar to the idol. At least then they could claim that the show runners are still in control of the game. Now you have people intimidating producers and strong arming them for the plans.

I’m late to the game, didn’t realize this was season 3. Caught up on the first 2 today. This cast is definitely the craziest. Makes sense since the prize went from 10 to 100k
