The more that I see, the more that this film appears to be in my Superman comics wheelhouse.
There was a sweet spot in the early 70's where they were trying to make Superman more relevant, but while Denny O'Neil was writing him to be serious and introspective in Superman Comics, old schooler Leo Dorfman was sticking to the quirky fun of the Silver Age in Action Comics. Pair that with the perfect art of Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson and you ended up with an amazing run of stories.

I'm really excited about this.
This seems like it will be lighter, with a lot of the elements from the silver and bronze age
I've gotten back into Superman big time in the past year or two - to the point that I'm regularly going to the comic shop and they're pulling titles for me.
Absolute Superman is the hot title right now - it's a reinvention of the character. His parents on Krypton were working class and the elite didn't want to hear them talk about how the planet was in danger. He gets most of his power from his suit, which is kind of like Iron Man's suit - it's intelligent. I'm not crazy about the art, but I like how they've turned a lot of stuff on its head.
The current Superman and Action Comics runs are a bit more traditional, but solid. It looks like they've dropped the horrible idea that Superman and Lois have a super-powered son.

Pretty sure the entire synopsis was leaked and it could be very good. There’s one plot point that might be very strange and off putting, we’ll have to see if they can pull it off but they’re doing some reshoots so it maybe altered a bit. Anxious to see this movie.
