For sure! Hoping it’s a lively crowd since it’s early screening and I’d think a lot of mega fans will be there

I'm giving it a week.

Was going to catch it this weeken, but Forbes guy called it "refreshingly political", which for him means"anti-GOP" (he is a far left socialist guy)

So I am waiting until I get an idea what that meant before I give them my money.

Not sure but he did steal The Flash’s cinematographer to make Super Man so he definitely liked something about it a lot.

Was the cinematography good on The Flash?

Yes, another crap movie where the reviews all go fresh with the critics bc it has political themes that the critics like

I wanted to see it this weekend, but his review gives me pause also. I'm sure someone I trust will see it Thursday or Friday night, so I'll wait to hear from them before I make my decision.

Huh? I couldn’t find anything about it being political from the only Forbes review on Rottentomatoes.

Not only that, but people will often shoehorn politics into things when there are at best unintended parallels, but at worst, just imaginary. And I think this is more true with more political “extremists.”

And the far left is really bad at this. Like I’m not sure how many times I’ve seen tankers on twitter act like The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are far right films because of the “mass surveillance” in TDK even though it’s pretty clearly showing the moral quandary with Lucious explicitly saying that it’s wrong.

TDKR is even more laughable because they think the “police” being the good guys makes it far right, and because Bane attacks the stock exchange and they think that was an intentional parallel to Occupy Wall Street because those protests started around the same time. Never mind that The League of Shadows, has more parallels to Islamist Extremists (even without being explicitly religious) than those cosplaying revolutionaries.

He may not work at Forbes anymore, not sure.

He used to be their main movie guy, if he doesn't work there anymore.

It's really quite odd. Some people just can't accept that the average consumer wants nothing to do with leftist politics being preached to us in our entertainment. If I get a hint that something could be like that, I will absolutely wait to hear someone tell me otherwise before I consider spending money on it.

Chris Gore said the interview and the "refreshingly political" comment are rage bait, and nothing to do with anything in the movie.

Just a heads up

Why do people want to hate on this movie so bad before even seeing it

I don't. I want it to be amazing. DC Comics have always been far better than Marvel. I'm extremely frustrated that they seemingly can only get Batman right when they do live action movies.

ETA: And Captain Marvel. They did pretty good with his movies too.

Right wing anti-woke Chris Gore says the interviewer was baiting Gunn and pushed it for clicks and rage bait.

Chris said he was surprised he wasn't asked if it was "the gayest Superman"

Yeah. Scott doesn’t write for them anymore. I’ve followed him for years, and while he’s definitely left-leaning, he doesn’t come off as a far left socialist at all, particularly since he’s a numbers and dollars guy. At least he doesn’t come off as far left relative to other critics.

Just finished watching in IMAX. I thought it was awesome.

Being an immigrant isn't even alluded to.
