While true, most of Hollywood has disdain for all of us. I really don't care what Milly says or thinks. I watch movies to be entertained for a couple hours. You would be hard pressed to find projects created by people who don’t have disdain for you.

They spout :I don't care what the actress thinks..." and so on, but you are going out of your way to support someone that thinks you are sub human.

this. I will rejoice when this fails miserably. They deserve this and so much more.

Tom Cruise believes we are all heathens if we don't accept his cosmic religion and I still see every one of his films.
The actress in this was dumb to say what she did. It will hurt the film. But I don't know her I don't care what she thinks. I'm going on with low expectations like with MOS I hope for the best. I'll know later.
I do see the ones who actually saw it said it wasn't that good. I often agree with Road on movies and he said 3/10 so not looking great.

if you want people involved in a movie to have your politics, and you aren't a retarded communist theater kid. . .there is practically nothing out there aside from whatever Kevin Sorbo is doing these days

Yeah, I said this in another topic.
quote:

As strange as Cruise is he appears to be 100% fixated on creating entertaining movies. Not becoming a bigger celeb, not obscure art-house stuff that lets him stretch, he doesn't care if he's typecast, and I sorta doubt he even chases awards. He just wants to entertain and he hits way, way more often than he misses.

I'll add to that; he doesn't share my faith, almost certainly doesn't share my politics or values, and from what little I know of him he's only happy with a wife if she's a Stepford robot.

But he doesn't bring that bullshite into the world of entertainment.

Yall are missing the point, they don’t have to share politics. Just don’t make your movie a vehicle for your politics and go on the red carpet or podcast circuit making headlines with your retarded takes

Agreed that almost no actors are likely to authentically like and respect their fans.

The point is less about who likes and politically aligns with their fanbase and more about who lacks public decency.

On a personal basis we choose to understand and obey the civil behaviors that allow for coexisting differences. The neighbor that you invited over for dinner and insisted on talking about their religion or their political beliefs doesn't get invited again.

Yeah he's an amazing actor. You can usually buy him in every role. I think he was miscast as Reacher but he's Maverick. Been a fan since I was a kid.

Roaad makes a good point as does proximo.

Your not going to agree with most actors BUT they really shouldn't use their platforms to put down possibly half or more of the audience.
The better actors seem to get that. Gina Carrano lost her career because of it. Rachel Ziegler is box office posion because of it. (Though tbf one by fans one by stupid execs)

I always say it: if I boycotted every musician/actor with whom I disagreed politically, I’d virtually never be entertained. You have to be able to compartmentalize these things.

Particularly with an attitude like hers.

It’d probably be easier to overlook that she has the facial structure of a chimp if not for that.

From Deadline

quote:

Supergirl‘s initial wave of foreign markets grossed $5.2M. The hope is that the pic clears $80M+ in its global launch at 46,000 screens in 77 foreign markets. China and Japan are part of the offshore suite opening Friday, with France and Belgium bowing next weekend. Domestic opening forecasts have cooled from $50M+ to the upper-$40M+ range start for the feature production, which I’m told cost $170M but others tell me was net $186M. As we told you, Supergirl has more than $100M in media value from its global promotional partner campaign, DC Studios’ biggest ever. Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 5 is expected to lead the weekend in its second frame with around $90M.

There’s a scene where she’s de-powered on the planet of a red sun where it’s audibly said she’s de-powered yet retains her strength in a fight and survives after being ejected into space. Total shitburger of a movie

That’s too sexy for what they wanted this character to be.
