The irony, lack of self awareness and hypocrisy from you guys is boundless. But I guess when you’re always wrong the only thing you can do is deflect and make baseless, ad hominem attacks.

Well that poster is very disingenuous and I’m sure it comes as no surprise to you. You see how these guys operate.

Marvel didn't start with Guardians of the Galaxy or Shang-Chi. if they did, those movies would've been a massive flop. I'm not sure why they are going with Supergirl immediately after Superman as the second film in the new DC cinematic universe.
I wouldn't call Iron Man, Captain America, or Thor Marvel's most popular characters by any means, but they were probably the best Marvel had that weren't contracted out to other studios at the time plus Robert Downey Jr.

Yeah, it's a mistake going with Supergirl. Precovid, It probably does really well but those days are over. Studios need to start making better decisions on what characters to use. It maybe would've worked out better if Supergirl was a side character in a couple movies before giving her her own fillm

Is this the actress that told Christians not to watch this movie?

You are weaker than maiden's water.

Milly Alcock brings an edgy attitude to Kara that matches SUPERGIRL’s punk rock, grimy, industrial aesthetic. It’s a smart casting decision and the film’s creative direction also produces some excellent, highly detailed costuming and production design, with a nice blend of practical and visual effects for the creature design and makeup. And that’s about where my praise ends. The humor rarely lands, the action is surprisingly dull, the visual effects are the same as you’ve seen in other movies of this type before, and the plot beats are predictable with overwritten dialogue that doesn’t ever capture the spark of what made James Gunn’s “Superman” so enjoyable.

Oof. Idk I’m considering canceling my Wednesday tickets and saving the missus’ tolerance for superhero showings for another movie

This review carries a presumption that is dubious at best.

Looks like they had a screening today, and I see now why the embargo isn't up until Wednesday.

The writer for Supergirl is now working on the script for wonder woman. Not good. Gunn might want to make some changes after this.

These were two of my biggest concerns about this movie. I realize that her character in this universe is written as your not-so-typical superhero, but I hope they don’t try to make her too “cool” or “edgy”. I don’t mind humor in a superhero movie, but I just hope it isn’t so much that it takes over the whole movie.

People try to argue with me about ancillary revenues lol

When Supergirl takes to the screen this Friday, she’ll be the biggest Warner Bros/DC Studios movie ever when it comes to promotional partnerships with 80+ sponsors who are delivering $100 million-plus in media value. That’s not even counting consumer products.
With names such as Ulta Beauty, OPI, Joico, and Kentucky Fried Chicken onboard, Warner Bros Global Partnerships’ aim for the campaign is to sell the edgy aspect of the DC-verse, while creating zeitgeist moments that would intrigue young women and families.
Know that when it comes to partnerships, that dollar amount is comprised of purchased advertisements, retail store space as well as campaign digital and linear impressions. Of those 80, 65 are international partners, 14 are North American with four counting a global reach (Samsung, OPI, American Airlines and Timex).
Another big deal for Warner Bros and DC is that they’re getting repeat business with such returning Superman partners as Timex, Samsung, American Airlines, and Milk-Bone. Similar to last summer in James Gunn’s Superman, the doggy snake product is making a cameo in the Craig Gillespie directed feature take of Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s graphic novel Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

That's fine, because none of us will watch.
