Just got saw it, it was a fun movie. Not as good as I was hoping, but not nearly as bad as the RT score claims. It was certainly better then the shite called BvS

I think that once you stray from the traditional movie mechanics the critics are hesitant to curve the final grade even with good performances. The critics that rated it fresh seemed to give more weight to the performances and were willing to overlook the choppy flow and editing.

The critics that said it was worse than the last Fantastic Four are just assholes. That film had shitty structure, shitty characters, and phoned in performances.

They should have placed up the feminism angle of Robbie's character, would have gotten them at least into the 70's

As I said earlier, I trust Angry Joe. I'll go see it with an open mind.

The good news is that Joe and his friends look like the people that I see at the theater every weekend. A lot of people may like this movie. Word of mouth may not elevate the sales on this one, but I don't think it's going to kill it.

THR is reporting that it's unlikely this film will be released in China. So no China and no Mexico.

Snyder directed a scene for SS.

It had plenty of feminism. The comic series had it from the start.

Seriously? No spoiler tag on this.

I had not heard anything about this cameo.

Joe and his buddies have always reminded me of some the guys I grew up with. Joe's like a big kid who loves to just have fun at movies. Which I believe is who this movie is targeted to.

It sounds like he not only had fun, but he's actually defending a lot of the things most people didn't like. I think he just had so much fun it's hard for him to be very critical of some of the aspects.

I will go into this movie with the mindset to have fun first, critique later.

At least Suicide Squad is beting Nine Lives, which is sitting at 0% right now (only 6 reviews in)

Kevin Spacey must have lost a bet or something to do that movie

Didn't you have similar thoughts on BvS?

This movie doesn't seem to have the 90% bad word of mouth that BvS had.

I liked it, the 29% is marvel paying the haters big time. I will agreed on one point. Amanda Waller was the caused of this fisaco and thus took away from the movie.

I thought it was a threat that was out of their hands that Suicide Squad was called upon to deal with. I also like this new Joker, nothing beat Heath Joker but this one is pretty good. Make him feel dangerous for sure.

As for Margot Robbie, she's like a Charlize Theron who actually took sexy roles. I like it.

Will Smith was bad arse in this movie, I thought with his recent flops and crap, it would sink and was expecting fresh prince Deadshot. Nope he made it work.

El Diablo was interesting as were the others.

OVer all I would give this movie a solid 8/10. It just felt like they added TWO introductory scenes to the movie when there shouldn't have been any.

In my opinion the Diner scene could have taken place by itself, not need for the DoD scene. Keep on and cut the other.

I liked him as well. Very different, but not necessarily bad different. Leto did a very good job with his voice. There were moments he actually sounded a decent bit like Hammill's Joker. He did a good job changing his tone mid phrase like Hammill does. His look took some getting use to, but his acting was well done.

i just can't get over enchantress being the villain. it's like an anchor that just drags the film down. i don't think a longer cut can fix that. she was totally ridiculous.

I loved that in the trailer before Secret Life of Pets the first thing Spacey says when he realizes he's a cat is "You've gotta be kidding me!" Pretty sure whoever cut the trailer was thinking the same thing.
