I think that would hold merit if they didn't have her blasted with the radio waves to keep her weak

Sniff your own farts somewhere else, chump.

I have a feeling since they already used the de-aging stuff for Will, and all the time travel stuff being floated, that we’re going to have the gang going back to the night Will went missing or something. And we’re going to have crappy CGI younger versions of the actors play a role in the story.

Your shtick is tiring. There is annoying, over the top, and boring girl boss shite in season 5. No one cares if you agree or that you prefer to ignore it. The reality is that it’s there and just like every other popular tv show or movie it takes away from the quality of the entertainment and reflects in the reviews, audience sentiment, and often times numbers.

You could say this about earlier seasons, but not this one (at least, not Vol. 1).
Steve isn't a buffoon and actually has good instincts (Nancy agreed with his plan regarding the silo).
Mike's plan for the kids was rock solid but for the bad luck with the entry.
Wil stood up to and changed the thinking of his mother relative to risk.
Hopper saved 11 countless times and took care of Dr. K.
Max has survived, but has not had an easy go of it.
Nancy put her family in harms way by not telling them the truth of what was going on (admittedly, Mike's idea).
No Mary Sues
Everyone is taking damage and failing
Everyone has self doubt/fear
Now, can it get there? Sure. There are some indicators it may go that direction. But the last 5 mins of Episode 4 lead me to believe this is going to be as much Wil's story as the other numbers.

Did the Will scene remind anyone else of The Matrix finale when Neo kills the agents? I can't decide if it felt more homage-y or ripoff-y. Probably more homage. But the plot device for why he has powers feels very Voldemort/Harry horcrux connection and that maybe feels more like a ripoff.

The part where everyone is physically is in the walled off circle of the upside down. Dustin mapped it out. The center is the old lab with Sarah Connor and Mrs. I-can-make-you-see-what-I-want-you-to-see 008.
Max's physical body is in the hospital. Holly's physical body is jacked into the matrix in the Vecna Spire. They're both in Vecna's head/dreamland although physically in different places.
You'd think the spire would be visible in the tiny hawkins sized upside-down circle.
Will gained the ability to jump in and out of the matrix.

I didn’t take it as “I’m accepting myself as gay so now I’m powerful” but more like he stopped being so afraid. Will has been cowering and quivering this entire series. He finally grew a pair and accepted what happened to him and who it made him become.
IMO that’s exactly what happened. Will has always been kind of different from the others (not just gay) and reserved/follower. And then struggled in fear after that happened.
So far I’ve enjoyed the new episodes. A couple minor complaints but glad to see things start coming to a head.

I think the Duffers talked about how that was the first stuff that was filmed due to how much they needed to work on it and that it was very expensive. So I don't know if they'd bother (or could afford it with all the other CGI being used).

So why would Vecna give Will these powers to use against him? Is it some sort of Vader Luke situation where he thinks he can turn him?
He pretty much said that; he was using children (I guess as auxiliary power sources? - sorta like Peter Quill in GOTG2?) because they were easily broken and controlled.
I assume the process to use them (aka the tendrils in the mouth) alters them in some way and Will was just the first and finally managed to have the control/self confidence/will to access the "power."
quote:I don't know if he Upside Down military base is at the center. It seems that the old Hawkins Lab is at the center; it's labeled DOE (for Department of Energy) on the map which was the cover for the lab.

I've seen this theory floating around that the whole show was a D&D campaign and it ends with them still as kids sitting in Mike's basement playing.
I think the Duffers have mentioned this and said that it would ruin the emotional impact of the story.
Also, the overarching D&D campaign involved several in-game D&D campaigns, a separate Russian expedition for some characters, changing schools, and a vacation/moving to California along with abductions and various encounters with federal agents? That seems out there even for a D&D campaign.

Nancy's tiny head and big hair looks odd too me but she's a badass.

The actress is clearly extremely ill/anorexic and legit probably weighs 85lbs.
It's very sad to see.

Never skipped parts in the past. This season....multiple times. It's like Disney made this.
