I saw it was on HBO last night and checked it out. I'm not a big rap fan, but still enjoyed it. It brought back a lot of memories and it exposed a few things I either didn't remember or never knew about. Worth watching..

I enjoyed it and I'm about as white as you come. I thought it was good, but maybe 20-30 minutes too long.

I had been putting off watching it just for the near three hour running time. But I watched it about a week and a half ago, and I really liked it. I pretty much knew about the rise and fall of NWA so it was cool to see that play out. I thought that they were very kind to their manager. He was way sleazier than that.

You mean the manager that Ice Cube threatened to murder like Eazy E before the AIDS got him? LINK

They kinda made up the way the group came together and the ending wasn't great but everything in between was done well

Two things that stood out to me as a major wtf was Tupac recording Hail Mary before even hearing the beat for California Love. California Love came out 3-4 years before Hail Mary. Also Bone came out before Easy was really sick. Thought it was a good watch though.

Recording something and it's release date are 2 very different things. It's very possible it could have been recorded before California Love

they were released like a year apart, Cali in late 95, Hail Mary on the Makaveli album in late 96 after Pac died. never knew that he recorded Hail Mary in 93 (nine-tre!!!) though. if for no other reason than I thought the Outlawz were fairly new when Makaveli dropped.

Upon further investigation, they were released 9 months apart. WOW...really felt like All Eyez on Me was out much longer than that before Makaveli came out. I remember that when he signed with Death Row he just pounded out a ton of songs in a short amount of time. Like you said, very easily could've been recorded in that order.

I didn't know that sug's gang fought with easy physically. I wonder if they injected him with HIV during said fight like he mentioned in the kimmel interview?

The movie was excellent and I certainly understand the anger at it being snubbed for major awards at the Oscars. And even if it didn't deserve to win any, it should have at least been recognized.

just streamed it last night. I liked it as a quasi documentary, not much plot, but there really wasn't a need for one. I would liked to know more about where all the money went for the first NWA record and Ice Cube's record.

I liked the movie. I was and still am a fan of their music, but I thought the movie was rushed and they tried to cover too much content.
