So, something that is unproven, un-scientific, is questionable morally at best to a large portion of the population, is a political lightning rod and is itself a debate...

Do you find a grown adult character being trans morally questionable?

It's necessary to be in Star Wars and other cultural properties to embed the idea in culture. To change people's minds. To cement it as reality? The only connection to representation is to make sure that other people believe it exists too?

you have this arse backwards. There are more people who identify as trans in real life than Stat Wars. whether you agree with them or thing they’re lunatics, they are real.

The only thing showing people trans characters is going to do is put a face on the “political
issue”

No they do not. There is no consistent physical proof of what a "trans person" is outside of words. It cannot be scientifically proven. You are a liar.

Do you think it's morally good to make kids believe they can change their gender, even when they are young? That if they just chop off their genitals, then a little boy can be a woman? You think that's a morally good thing to do?

And do you think it's morally good to empower that belief through cultural properties and entertainment. Since you have already admitted that is the point of putting a trans person in Star Wars.

quote:

There are more people who identify as trans in real life than Stat Wars. whether you agree with them or thing they’re lunatics, they are real.

So, do we chop off the legs of people who want to be handicapped as they request? And should we put one of them in Star Wars to make sure they are represented? There are people out there who identify as being handicapped. Aren't they due representation?

And I am not talking about a handicapped person, I am specifically talking about the oppressed people who believe they are handicapped, and are not. Don't we need to put one of them in Star Wars so they can finally understand what Star Wars is about?

He supports grooming and isn’t honest about any of this so it’s no use responding to him. He’s willfully ignorant and has an incredibly warped, brainwashed mind.

I know.

He's already said the quiet part out loud, and that's the real issue - and why I do think this is a Movie/TV issue.

Inserting this stuff has nothing to do with inclusion "in the property," and everything to do with normalizing this behavior - particularly targeting entertainment that kids will consume. Groomers the lot of them.

I agree. Ill go forward assuming it's the same way in the star wars universe.

At the very least it's no less believable than the Hutts or a bunch of other shite in star wars.

I agree they want it to be a basic level of understanding.

He’s argued that this stuff isn’t happening for awhile now and every time it’s undeniable or admitted he’s says is a good thing. You know exactly what that is, why he says it and where it comes from. Hes a zealot

The Hutts weren’t injected into to Star Wars to push 2024 North American politics. More dishonesty from the groomer patrol.

Oh so your problem is with real life politics, not the premise of the character?

Well there's a board for that

why do you think that’s a fricking gotcha?

trans people want people to believe they exist is some fricking secret?

you’re the one who makes the huge leap that if you teach your kids about being tolerant of people different than them you’re grooming them to be trans.

The other characters are there to provide DEPTH to the universe like other species that have adapted to various earthly environments giving them PHYSICALLY DISTINCT AND OBSERVABLE FLESH CHARACTERISTICS.

what does the "trans" person represent?

That people in star wars have psychological flaws just like people in our world.

Of course we already knew that by watching anakin turn into Vader

Everyone has a backstory and half of them are human.

why do they provide any more or less depth than the trans clone trooper?

you’re the one who sees an adult fictional character and immediately thinks about kids.
