They haven’t even recouped half the cost they spent to buy the IP 12 years ago so the fact that it’s being destroyed isn’t arguable. From here you’re fighting an uphill battle armed with only excuses so what’s the point in explaining the why to a religious zealot?

They are actively destroying a cultural touchstone by purposely and maliciously entering degenerate and depraved content that they know will be extremely offensive to the vast majority of the fanbase of that IP - solely for the purpose of tweaking the sensibilities of a fanbase they despise.

that's strictly based off films making 1.2 billion in profit.
that number doesn't include ANY MERCH or anything else like the billion dollars EA paid them for the gaming license.
besides the fact they didn't even pay 2.8 billion cash
they paid $2 billion cash and $2 billion stock.
stock was $49 at purchase and is now at $94
