Sammy you seem to be really invested in defending injection of Letter People bullshite in to Star Wars. Why is that?
I mean, I know clones made from the same genetic material of a male warrior will somehow produce a....female. Because reasons.

*ETA - You need to realize that there's more to the world than what you see from CNN or MSNBC. Not everything that's important gets mentioned by NPR. The core of Identity politics is in fact the intent to divide people up into groups to fight against or with each other for a common cause. Once you reduce a person to a check box, that's well on the way to having them give up their own personal identity, and see themselves as a part of a collective.

As much as you throw the word groomer around you seem to be a big fan of identity politics.
I think all politics are pretty stupid and have no time for them. No vote I've ever made has ever changed shite, so why waste energy focusing on them? I focus on the things I can control, what movies/shows Hollywood puts out isn't one of them. I just watch to have something to do before bed when there aren't sports on.

Just to be clear - Star Wars is a tool to create acceptance in culture?
It's not a story, or a universe or a narrative. It's not built for fun, or interesting reasons. It's not something to create a completely different world of adventure that people can experience in a variety of ways.
Star Wars exists to change opinions, to make sure we subvert other forms of teaching, to change the way kids think.
That is the purpose of Star Wars, or really all of art? To change cultural opinions subversively?

I don’t think SW is going to change anyone’s opinions. the only thing i’ve seen genuinely change people’s opinions is interaction with others humans.
