I went into The Last Jedi with an open mind. I had not seen any spoilers and stayed as far away from the trailers as I possibly could. I came out of the theater disgusted and didn't let this or any other form of social media influence my opinion. I will not being watching TROS until it premieres on Disney+ next year.

The film has already leaked out. No one is hating it "just to hate it".
The backlash you're seeing is because of the direction and creative decisions made in the movie itself.

Can you put out a number on how many of those people on Twitter have seen it and how many in this thread have seen it. I know you can't (and neither can I) but I bet that number is way less that the total comments on the film.

The entire plot is out on the internet for the world to read. The images that leaked onto the internet last night confirms that the leaks are indeed true.
The film might be visually stunning and the acting might be solid. I don't know because I haven't seen it. But the story is complete and utter shite.
