As long as TLJ and Solo remain canon, those are by far the worst Star Wars movies.

Not even close. AotC is worse than both of them, and I don't see anything taking that title from it.

The world building in the prequels is far superior to anything in the ST.

Well, that is because it actually exists in the PT.

There is no world building in the ST.

Anything is > 0.

The problem with the PT is that they overly complicated it to the point that it became cumbersome.

I prefer Attack of the Clones more than TLJ. I rather it more than Jar Jar ep 1.

What are the biggest complaints about Ep 2 besides Anakin hating sand?

Episode I is still the worst. It doesn’t have a protagonist. There really isn’t any plot. And other than looking cool, Darth Maul is a cardboard cutout villain. Darth Maul is a worst villain than Snoke.

That line perfectly encapsulates christensen's awful performance. Portman still has stuff to do, but that stuff is increasingly boring, and Lucas can't get a decent performance out of her. The movie is 140 minutes of political intrigue Lucas never gives us a reason to care about. It keeps accidentally building up the idea that the Jedi are marvelously stupid, and we're still supposed to root for them. The ending is a crap parade of alien animals and a stupid arena battle that lacks any truly cool moments.

The prequels suck. See if George is willing to sell your soul back to you.

Your opinion. I think Episode II and TLJ are much worse, though.

Ummmm...it has multiple. You can argue over who is the main protagonist, but, much like all Star Wars movies, it's a group effort.

Are you serious? You cannot like the plot or disagree with the direction of the plot, but the damn film has an obvious plot. You do know what a plot is, right?

First 1/3 of the movie is pretty decent with the whole asassination plot. It goes off the rails on planet romance because hayden can’t act. Then, it just drops entire plotlines at Kamino. It doesn’t really ever get better. Plus, it all looks like a video game.

Same here, and I've called Clones one of the worst films ever made. Because it is.

TLJ is so bad, though, it just takes me aback. I struggle to understand how allegedly intelligent people could think that was a good idea. It relentlessly tries to make you hate it, and it succeeds magnificently with breathtaking, outlandish stupidity.

As I sat and watched Princess Leia float around in space with lightning shooting from her fingertips, I doubted that what I was seeing was real, that this was a genius new concept, the "troll movie" that precedes the real movie - a genius way to get us to pay to see the same story twice as many times while having a few laughs with the audience.

I can at least have Clones on at home just for the background noise, but TLJ is just eye poison.

The TPM criticism that it has no protagonist rings hollow to me. Tell me who the protagonist of Avengers 1-4 was? Who was the protagonist of Jurassic Park? What about Lord of the Rings? Who was the protagonist of Game of Thrones? Who was the protagonist in the first POTC movie?

Having a singular protagonist is not a defining mark of the quality of a movie.

I believe there are two problems with phantom menace:
Jar Jar went full retard
They cast a young child who couldn’t act as Anakin where a snarky teenager would have made much more sense.

Yep. There is absolutely no rule that says you can't have multiple protagonists in a film. There are problems with TPM but not having a main protagonist isn't one of them IMHO.

Jar Jar should have been a disgraced warrior of some sort. Not town buffoon.

Anakin should have been 11-12 and just discovering his force powers. I actually don’t mind the whole midichlorians bit, it explains why everyone in the galaxy isn’t playing one massive game of king of the hill. They detect it early in children so they can teach them discipline and restraint and how to be one with it before the power fully manifests itself in them. Anakin not having that training and being a kid created purely out of midichlorians by Plagueis and Sidious would have made him a ticking time bomb. He has no ideals to latch on where he’s from, just people. It’s a more natural story progression for him as well.

Snarky, I don’t agree with. What you saw from Will Byers in the most recent season of Stranger Things is more of what he should have been. Hopeful but still weighed down by his status as a slave and with this burgeoning power he doesn’t understand.

AOTC is easily better than TLJ. I have hated AOTC for years...but TLJ is simply a waste. At least ATOC has a few cool aspects. There really isn't anything worth praising in TLJ.
