They probably have a memo in their breakrooms, signed by goofy, that says "too big to fail, ignore the haters"

Yea, that isn’t why.

He is again trying to simply excuse TLJ’s failures/shortcomings as the fan base’s fault for not growing.

You can do something new and still make a good movie.

TLJ was something new and a bad movie.

Like I said earlier, new and a different direction would have been Rey joining Kylo.

That would have been new and interesting.

I honestly thought that was what they were going to do, based on TLJ trailers.

Sadly, nope.

Ehhh that guy is being a candy arse. As long as TLJ and Solo remain canon, those are by far the worst Star Wars movies.

I’ll probably have the same feeling for TROS as I did for ROTS: A few great moments in a sea of missed opportunities.

I do think it’s interesting that in the OT, Jedi is generally considered the “worst” of the three, while in the PT, Revenge is considered the best, and it seems that most will be putting Rise as the middle of pack one from the DT.

Disney pulled Palpatine out of the energy reactor and then threw him back into it again, so a woman could be the main person this time.

Which is absurd because the lead being female is the not the problem. The problem is having a lead, female or male, that doesn’t develop at all over the course of your middle act.

I’ve stayed away from all the spoilers on this film so I guess I’ll be “surprised.” But I realize that no matter what the film is going to be rushed because none of the characters were developed in TLJ while simultaneously scraping all of the conflicts set up in the first film. That movie was just an abortion in terms of film writing.

As bad as TLJ was I’m still not sure it’s worse than Episode I.

I think it is.

I think it is on par with Ep 2.

It was much worse. TPM had the pod racing and the Duel of the Fates. Even the space battle and the Gungan droid battle had their moments.

There is nothing from TLJ I ever want to see again. Not a single scene or shot. Nothing.

I didn't like TLJ, but it's citizen kane compared to attack of the clones.

Attack of the Clones is the 3rd worst of the Star Wars movies behind TLJ and Solo.

Even then, the origins of the Clones and Boba, seeing Yoda take Dooku down to Sonic, and Anakin’s first taste of the Dark Side were better/more important than anything in TLJ.

Never trust a person named Rian folks.

Attack of the clones is by far the worst star wars movie ever created. You gotta be a retard Panthers fan to think otherwise

That would be a great zinger.... if I gave a damn about the Panthers other than CMac helping me win a fantasy league champion.

100%

That was just a shitshow in its entirety.

I said in the last post that TLJ was on par with Ep2, but 2 is the bottom.

TLJ is just above it.

Absolutely not. TPM has some redeeming qualities at least. Pod racing, Darth Maul, and the Duel of the Fates are better than anything in TLJ.

Even AotC, which is one of the worst, had Yoda/Mace Windu fighting for the first time and Ewan McGregor stealing the show.
