After ‘Rise of Skywalker’ and Baby Yoda, Kathleen Kennedy’s plan for ‘Star Wars’ and beyond

Kennedy said she plans to make key decisions about the direction of the franchise in the coming weeks. But some things she already knows. While the “Skywalker” saga is ending, the company won’t abandon the characters created in the most recent trilogy. Additionally, she said, the plan is to move beyond trilogies, which can be restricting.

“I think it gives us a more open-ended view of storytelling and doesn’t lock us into this three-act structure,” she said. “We’re not going to have some finite number and fit it into a box. We’re really going to let the story dictate that.”

Guessing the key word will be 'emotional' like how they described TLJ.

You seriously think all TROS discussion will be limited to this thread?

Of course not But I'll post things like reactions, clips and box office numbers. I'm sure the first page will be full of star wars threads.

By far the least interested I’ve ever been for a Star Wars movie

Same. Going see it opening weekend for the sake of avoiding spoilers but man... I've come a long way from literally dying every day during the months leading up to Revenge of the Sith with anticipation and excitement as a teenager.

I hope so but I have my doubts.

Granted, the movie isn't out yet but the last few TROS threads never really got any traction.

There's that dude that's always game to troll Disney Star Wars threads but even he isn't getting too many bites lately.

Let's get some box office predictions going. I'll go with 600 mil, domestic and foreign, for a total just above 1.2 billion.

675 million domestic, 1.2 billion worldwide.

Just like TFA and TLJ, this film will be universally adored by critics. I don't see it dropping below 90%.
