You however are hell bent on screaming from the mountain tops that the movie is bad and one day we will all see how right you are.
It is quite pathetic.
Blueboy is in fact George Lucas

Yeah, like the taxation of trade routes.

First off I'm not sure if she could leave Jakku before Finn arrived there, but her reasons for being on Jakku are more sad than Anakin's: her severe abandonment issues. Anakin wanted to leave, but I don't think he was a tortured soul at the time like Rey was. She was stuck in her own delusional hell, and had to let it go to become fully realized. She had much more serious issues when we meet her than Luke or Anakin did, but that makes her all the more likable. We root for likable characters when they're faced with opposition.
You are making Rey's situation out to be worse than it really was and are severely downplaying Anakin's situation. You need to take a step back and realize this.

And not to get all history lesson in here, but during slavery in our nation, slaves received a lot of the same treatments that Anakin and his family received too.
It wasn't exactly like "Song of the South" if that's where you got your history lesson from.
I know you're a Mississipian but not all slaveowners were as cruel as those in your state's history.

I've never seen anyone get so emotionally invested in movies. Not just this one, I've seen you do it before. I mean, it seems like you are seriously offended that people don't feel the same way about the movie as you.
It's just a movie man. If you like it, that's great. Go see it again. Go see it ten more times. Then come back and tell us how it gets better everytime yoy watch it. Nobody cares. People have different tastes and want to see different things and different characters and want to bitch about them on the internet. It's no big deal

She's dropped of on a planet with no food and water when she is 5 with no one to support her. I'd say that's a much more traumatic experience than anything Anakin went through. Anakin lived in a two bedroom apartment for god's sake. I've known people in Beijing to have grown up in an apartment with no bedrooms and have 7 family members living in one big room. Hell, I did a home stay where I lived in the master bedroom and then the couple that lives there slept in the den.

I saw the first showing on opening day. I didn't have high expectation, which usually means that my bar is lowered and I am more prone to like a movie.
It was just too formulaic and cheesy. There's really no getting around that.

There are clearly some people in here who may not have liked some things but are just trolling and trying to stir shite up. It's the same people as usual for he most part.

I know. You've said it plenty. You and I have discussed it.
And those points are fair. You aren't the only one who didn't see the originality or like some of the actors. I don't have a problem with that.

Don't agree with this at all. Rey was left on a desert planet to fend for herself as a small child and had to sell scraps to get shite food from day to day. Anakin lived with his mom, had enough money and independence to build a fricking pod racer, and a protocol droid. Just because he was a slave doesn't mean he wasn't provided for. The skywalkers even accommodated 3 house guests for dinner. Watto was kind of a dick but his slaves lived in their own house and could do whatever they wanted when not working. The inly thing that made them slaves was that they couldn't quit. It even shows in Ep. 2 that he had some affection for Anakin. Rey grew up with no friends/family and had to learn to protect herself.

Yeah, I do have a very big passion for films. Thinking about movies keeps me up at night and constantly question if I shouldn't have gone into film making. I really live and breath this stuff. I like debating and presenting my point of view on movies.
Blueboy previously ridiculed me for pretty much having a checklist on what I wanted in this movie, and I was fully satisfied. It was everything I was hoping for it to be. I think it's a good thing they heavily relied on A New Hope and it was a modern day update of the story. But I'm not going say "oh, you all will agree with me and apologize" like Blueboy does. You're entitled to your opinion, but I like presenting another POV and I appreciate others as well. I'm all in this for good fun.

Does anyone not think that was Earth at the end? I mean they had fricking seagulls and crows.

No. Different Galaxy remember?

It even shows in Episode 1. He bullshits with Anakin, lets him off early, and compliments him on his resourcefulness and piloting skills. Watto had a soft spot for Anakin.

They can't travel between galaxies?

Here's something I thought was stupid... That the map had the bright orange line as if that's the route a starship should take. Um... Light speed directly to it!
Posted on 12/19/15 at 7:48 pm to DirtyMikeandtheBoys
Pretty sure this all happens in the same one.

She was clearly left with Unkar Platt qho did in fact have food and water. Started off on a terrible note here.

Well considering she had a family who could come back for her and Anakin had no daddy, and the fact that Anakin was still you know, a slave.

They lived in Section 8 housing. So what? There weren't in a Coruscant penthouse.

Cool. Not relevant at all.
You act like Rey was in the favelas of Rio or in Lagos, Nigeria, or Detroit and Anakin was chilling over in the East Village with his ma. Come on now.
