On top of that he's being a pompous twat saying that not only is he right, but we'll all eventually come around and completely agree with him and say he was right. The movie was Star Wars but even better. I think this is the movie that the fans have been begging for for years. It's everything we asked for. I don't know how a Star Wars fan can hate this movie.

I'm clearly not the only one with the same issue with the movie and I've already said plenty of times that I really liked the movie and it's what the franchise needed.

Well, she's resisting his efforts. Maybe she decides to try and since he doesn't realize she's force sensitive he doesn't put up any defenses.
It's also not a stretch to assume she had some training before she was dropped off on Jakku and Luke blocked it. Just spitballing here.
