Oh, sorry, sir. Is my opinion different than yours? Surely, it must be flat wrong.
You aren't the only one who didn't like Driver's performance. We simply disagree there. But you're taking it over the top for effect. Obviously.

How dare someone disagree with your opinion?
Redundant much?

Why don't you just avoid the whole thing if you think it's so invalid?

You didn't even address my point about you simply wanting to provoke. That's all you're doing at this point.

Like a few have said, on fast forward.

That movie was about introducing the IP to a new generation of fans, bridging the gap from Return to now, and setting up the new characters and universe.

It did a brilliant job of each of those. Episode VIII is set up to be amazing.

It's highly implied, particularly when she picks up the lightsaber.

If you have to have it explained, you could say that Luke was a slow learner because it was so reluctant. He didn't trust the force or himself. Rey grew up knowing about Jedi and the force and she found it easily in herself.

I know I'm sort of reaching... because I agree it was odd seeing her learn so quickly. But maybe there is an explanation to come later on?

The only time we've seen someone mind controlled it's been a thoughtless obey ______ that was right in front of the Jedis face

That's complete mastery of a move. There's no training to be had there, she's done it already. Check that off the list.

Different times. As i explained. And different circumstances for their understanding of the power.

And she was not running around like a master. I dont know why yall think influencing a thoughtless storm trooper makes her an advanced jedi master.

I really can't wait. I'd love for Episode VIII to take off right from the moment this movie ended, and have Rey and Kylo go on parallel journeys on what the meaning of the Force is, while Phasma and Hux hunt down Finn, Poe, and the others. Could be wonderful.

Or was he? Obviously "Snoke", or Super Giant Gollum as I like to call him, has been around a while and something tells me he didn't just walk into being a Sith Lord. I think he could have been around for a long long time. He's had to have been one since before the end of ROTJ right?

How do you know she can influence anyone with a strong mind? Obviously her and Ren cant influence each other. She might not have been able to influence anyone other than a mindless thoughtless storm trooper.

She is Luke's daughter. That counts for something. The Skywalkers are among the most powerful people in the universe.

This, while raw power needs to be disciplined and trained to become efficient, they are still powerful and bypass a few steps in regards to the others. All in all, i think both will be far more powerful than Luke and Anakin and therefore, won't need as much training.

By the way, Luke pulled the saber from the snow and he barely had any training at all. The only training he had was with Obi Wan's ghost a few months before Empire. I think it goes to show, the more powerful you are with the force, the more succitiple to the dark side you are, but the less amount of time spent training. Hell, Luke only trained for what, 5-6 months maybe with Yoda?

There's always a balance. Luke and Snope. That's it. It doesnt change my statement.

Before that there was like an entire planet of force aware jedi's running around, after there are a small select few and they are genetically advanced super beings.

I really don't get why you can't accept that someone didn't like Driver's shitty performance. Yes, I get that he's Han's kid and is tormented and blah blah cliche cliche. But, it was comically, horribly pulled off.

And, he's the ugliest motherfricker in the universe, though those ears make me more receptive to the possibility of extraterrestrial life forms, so maybe it's a positive.

Also, much of Luke's time was spent learning to trust and accept the use of the force.

Rey was willing to trust herself and believe. That was over half of Luke's training. Learning to trust in the force.

In the movies, yes. In the shows (which are canon) we see apprentices doing it.

Yep.

But you'll get one thing moving forward. He'll be in the mask for a while thanks to Rey...

I believe Snoke is a Sith ghost that figured out a way to reincarnate himself.
