This is the last of these I’ll do.

The first opening sequence and action scene is pretty damn legit, I will give it credit for that.

Finn is such a pussy

How the frick did that guy get blood in his hands to get blood on Finn’s face

Weird exposition scene. Some horrible dialogue.

Poe was such a completely wasted character. Oscar Isaac was done dirty

I also really like this starship graveyard scene. It’s beautiful. Going down the big dune.

Last movie John Williams gave a shite about?

Also like Rey wearing the pilots helmet for fun because I’d do that too

Despite the too-many-to-mention problems I had with the Disney Trilology, I will say they were all exceptionally gorgeous, other-worldly films that were almost indecipherable as far what was practical and what was CGI (with the exception of the wonky Leia Poppins scene).

And that’s why I can only stomach force awakens.

Really bad dialogue in Finn and Poe’s escape

Oh, that Falcon flight scene is so fricking legit through the starship graveyard other than the absolutely stupid crashing at the beginning

Everyone is going to say just The Last Jedi sucks, but lets be real here, the story for all three movies is whack.

Rise of Skywalker is a god awful movie.

The only decent movie of the three. It was a little ridiculous that the planet had to split so that Rey and Kylo would be separated.

I disagree about a Finn. A defecting sanitation storm trooper who is force sensitive was the most interesting idea for a character. Of course they wasted it after the first movie.

A defecting stormtrooper could've made for a great story, but JJ and Rian fricked it up so bad.

Force Awake s is not good but it has some strong points. So it’s palatable

I am highly annoyed with the showing the falcon running into objects at hundreds or thousands of miles an hour and just bouncing off like it’s fine. What bullshite is that and who thought that was a good idea

This whole thing with Raptors and the gangs is so stupid

Since you brought him up, I just bought tickets to the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra who are doing "The Music of John Williams" tribute at the end of this month in NOLA.

I think it will be a blast finally hearing live all the big compositions from his catalogue: Star Wars, Jaws, Superman, Jurrasic Park, Close Encounters, Raiders/Indiana Jones, Amistad, and Saving Private Ryan.

The only reason the force awakens is a semi decent movie is because it’s basically a shot for shot remake of Star Wars.

It definitely is not a shot to shot remake and that’s an insult to the original movie.

Dailey Ridley wanting to go back to Jakku is thr dumbest thing

That scene where all the planets get blown up is really really sad

Agreed.

TFA gets too much credit and leniency, because a) first new Star Wars in decades, b) you get some of the original cast together again, and c) the following movies truly sucked.

To this day, I don't really understand what the Resistance was supposed to be. We understood the Rebellion to have won at the end of ROTJ, so why is Leia still hanging out with underground fighters? She should have been at or near the top of the New Republic's government.
Han Solo being reduced to a deadbeat dad and a bum, that's just offensive.
I could go on and on about the story, and how it just was so disconnected from what we knew; and don't tell me to "read the books". Star Wars was a movie series before it became books, you should be able to follow the storyline just by viewing.
And people walking outside to watch the First Order blow up the New Republic- looks pretty, just like it looked pretty for Spock to watch Vulcan get sucked into a black hole from a moon. And like that, it made zero sense at all.

There's more, but I don't need to rehash every bit of it. Suffice to say, it sucked less than TLJ, but it still was bad.

Yes, a lot of real insulting decisions

They should have have never had Adam Driver take his helmet off

The design elements in this movie were awful. Most of the ships look like shite and the only fighters we get are ties and x wings

Rey really knowing the force is annoying.

This dialogue has to have been written by AI

Chewie not comforting Leia is criminal

The last scene is great though. Unfortunately from there it goes to shite

That bugged me way back in Return of the Jedi. Weaving through the unfinished Death Star, bumping the superstructure, hitting hard enough to knock the radar dish off and the thing keeps flying.

The Force Awakens was really on the right track until the gangs showed up with the monster right after Han. Rest of the movie got pretty silly and lazy.

That was fine. That was an appendage. It would easily come off.

What with it being a near shot for shot remake of Star Wars (I refuse to call it A New Hope) I'd hope so.

How is it in any way a shite for shot remake of the original Star Wars. Have you seen the original Star Wars? Ever?

The plot is similar but is in no way a shot for shot remake

We meet our hero on a desert planet.

They meet up with an aging assistant that guides them off the planet for adventures with a droid tagging along.

Though out of order, the aging assistant brings the young hero to a bar/cantina for something they need.

Aging assistant leads a stealth attack on the Death Star/Star Killer to knock out it's defenses, only to get killed by someone with whom they have a past while the new hero watches.

Death Star/Star Killer gets destroyed.

Shot for shot was hyperbole, but it's the same movie...

Does the summer of '77 as a 7 year old, and probably a hundred times since then count?

The plot is similar but

And I was worrying about being hyperbolic...
