TFA was a very good movie, but it did Star Wars no favors story wise. Everything they somewhat setup in that movie that I was afraid they would do happened.

I think TFA left Star Wars in a great position. New characters and the Luke cliffhanger. TLJ just squandered it.

Exactly. I never took it as Kylo knowing the truth. He was simply trying to hurt her emotionally.

I take it this all came from the EU novels? If so...they completely take a shite on what little we know of Mothma's character. This was a woman itching for a fight for the entirety of Rogue One and looked like she was about to have an orgasm when the rebel fleet was about to go aide Jyn Erso and her party in stealing the plans to the Death Star.

TLJ had the best trailer of any Star Wars and we see where that got us.

I liked this trailer too and now I do have a sliver of hope.

Anyone else notice that this trailer and the trailer for TLJ both start out with Rey breathing heavy?

And this is the definition of insanity. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Disney has no problems with making great trailers.

Don’t get me wrong OML I’m still not seeing it on the theater unless after the first week or two, fans come out and say it retconned much of TLJ and is a solid film. Me not seeing it opening night is a big deal (for me).

I stuck to my guns with Solo and I’m planning to do the same for this. The message needs to be sent to the clowns running the franchise.

I want to like Rey, and Kyle, and Poe and Finn. But I just don’t. The Last Jedi fell flat on its arse after having so much potential. If JJ had directed it, you know, someone who actually likes Star Wars, then that movie may have stood a chance.

The Force Awakens had an odd rhythm to it in that they attempt to cram Poe, Finn and Rey down your throat initially, then it all of a sudden it randomly turns into a Han Solo/Leia story. It was sloppy but passable with the understanding that they'd build on those characters more in TLJ, which was of course a complete bed shitting in character development.

Under JJ, this trilogy could have been really good, even great. But their problem is they didn’t stick to one director and didn’t have all three movies plotted from the get go

It was an horrendous strategy, or lack thereof. They invested $4 billion in Star Wars and ginned up a ton of excitement for a sequel trilogy with several of the OT characters, yet they didn't have a strategy for what to do with it?

15 million views in more than 24 hours. This is going to do great. It’s like listening to idiot Hillary supporters that were sure she was going to win. I’ve been calling it for over a year, but it will gross around the 800 million range.

Oh and by the way, a Dectective Pikachu tv spot released the day before yesterday has 10 million views already. Not a trailer, just some side clip. Yeah, this isn’t going to be inflation adjusted the lowest grossing Star Wars film ever (save for Solo).

LINK if you don’t believe me.

He grew up over the course of the original trilogy and had a great arc with Redemption and a change of heart.

The new trilogy took a steaming shite on his entire character and invalidated his entire arc and development. Just like it did with Luke and Leia and eveyone else.

They don’t measure the number of views of a trailer just by one account’s link to it. They never have.

And since I know you’ll be a stubborn arse, the first official trailer for Endgame has over 250 million views in it’s first 24 hours but the current view count on the Marvel Entertainment official page on YouTube stands at 89 million

Are you employed by Disney? You are one of the biggest e-knights for them I have seen on this board.

Han was always a bum conman.
He was, but turned the corner in the OT.
He HAD the cash to get Jabba off his back, but he came back to save Luke, and he stuck around with the Rebellion for Luke and Leia, instead of returning to his life of crime and cons. He became a hero by the end.

So Darth Sidious is going to be in this one? frick it. If Darth Maul can survive being chopped in half and tossed down a well, then I guess the strongest force using bad guy ever can survive getting bench press bodyslammed down a ventilation shaft and blown up by Darth Vader.
