Deactivated his account after backlash though.

Should probably wait until the second weekend numbers before assuming it's not hitting a billion. I think it has a really good chance of doing it. Nostalgia is a helluva drug.

All of these “live action” Disney remakes are soulless cash grabs that bank on the stupidity and nostalgia of their audience to make their money. They are all inferior to the movies they’re remaking.

They would actually have to look similar to what you were nostalgic for. What they see is "oh just an alternate take on the Little Mermaid." not the little mermaid they saw back then. shite, there no flounder!

I mean, they did a decent job of keeping to the original story in Aladdin. The little Mermaid is not doing the same.

Key songs in Little Mermaid are removed, race swapping the main character, removing some beloved characters, and then trying to play victim of racism before the damn film is even out.

Aladdin had its flaws, but was a pleasant surprise. Beauty and the Beast was meh, but stuck to the original story again for the most part. People saw the film they grew up with in live action.

Instead, this one is just forcing changes for no reason and spitting on the nastalgja by just taking the name of the film and then “tweaking” it.

May do fine, but plenty of people won’t go see it for those reasons and I just don’t see it as a film you get a ton of multiple watches in the theater by viewers like some of the others.

Go ahead. Believe this wasn’t on purpose to get more butts in theater seats for this movie release.

Go ahead sheep.

How dare this woke go up against another woke, especially when the other woke is probably a biological female. Either way, this supposed man isn’t coming out on top just because he/it was speaking it’s truth.

It was surprisingly entertaining and will smith did as good a job playing genie as anyone not named Robin Williams could've.

The jungle book was the only one that I felt added a little something or felt fresh compared to the original

Ok I'll bite. What songs are removed, and what characters were removed?

I'm guessing (sha la la la) Kiss the Girl because it clearly promotes misogynistic rape culture.

The list is small but I enjoyed Meleficient, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin.

The rest have all been pretty unenjoyable.

Even then, they changed a couple lyrics. But nowhere was it stated they were removing the entire song.
