I wonder how many contestants actually watched the show? I know some did, so you would think at least some of them could see what was coming.

It is hard to say, I think most of them did and would have recognized picking teams in a white room, I think the "treat" threw them off just enough that they let their guard down. It was interesting that it ended up mirroring the husband and wife in the original. There have been several fake outs in the show.

I made it to the cookie game and it exemplifies everything wrong with the West. Emotional suckers.

299 was a broken human. Bedwetting is often a sign of abuse or PTSD from trauma. I am not sure you can hang this on the West because I would bet money his issues started very early in childhood he basically said as much.

This show ain’t squid games. It’s just a reality show for attention seeking divas.

I'm halfway through the first episode and not sure I can watch this much longer. Season 1 was great, but it looks like they ruined season 2. This seems more like Big Brother, only worse (if you can imagine that) and with stupid fake deaths when you get eliminated.

Upvote if you agree this season of Squid Games sucks compared to Season 1 and you're going to either not watch it or not past the first episode.

Downvote if you don't think this season of Squid Games sucks, and perhaps you will watch all of the episodes.

You actually watched some of this and thought it was season 2 How were you not able to tell that this was reality/challenge show? Good lord man.

There are some things that are the same but the differences are well thought out IMO and make it much more interesting than a straight copy since nobody dies.

Unless you tell me Red-Light Green-Light is re-imagined with rubber bullets or bean-bags, I'm out.

It's not trying to be season 2 of Squid Games, it's just an off shoot challenge show. Not sure how people don't get that. There's a chance to win over 4 million dollars as well, you don't have to be an attention seeking diva to want a shot at that.

Started watching and I think it has been pretty entertaining.

Like someone else mentioned, the ~$4.5 million prize is enough to be compelling in itself. Kudos to them versus other highly produced reality shows that go through great effort all for the grand prize of $75,000!

The obnoxious jock guy is from Louisiana and was a top 10 Louisiana high school football recruit who went to Clemson. Guessing people who follow recruiting would remember him.

Bryton Constantine from U-High. Knee injuries derailed his football career. He's absolutely being himself on the show, that's exactly how obnoxious he was in school.

I'm in to it. Wish they would of used red dye when they eliminated the players though.

He is a grade A a-hole, and soft as Charmin.

“Call me frat boy again” jesus this is a bad look for him

He told the mom that he quit playing football at Clemson to come on the competition. He stopped playing because of injuries like 2-3 years ago

As much as I disliked him, he kind of went out gracefully at least.

Not sure why the one girl voted out 432 (probably my favorite contestant) AND the old doctor. I get wanting to break alliances up, and getting rid of 432 got rid of a younger, in shape contestant. But why waste one on the old dude? If anything, keeping him in helps you because he's not going to be any threat if there is any type of physical challenge going forward.

I was halfway convinced that the old doctor was someone planted in there by the show runners to be the "owner of squid games" type guy from the original show. I'm like there's no way this guy is making it through on his own. Obviously that wasn't the case.

I've kinda enjoyed the show, but it makes me fear the future.

Most of these young people are soft and emotional basket cases. There will be no D-day type heroics from this generation.

Seems like at least half of the competitors are gay, so i don't think overall this is the crowd that would be there in a D Day type situation anyway.

I like the show, but as you said a bunch of soft people. One grown man was about to throw up every time we saw him. Grow up or nut up, and some point you have to stop being a bitch.

Watched up to the finale that will be released next week. Although I agree about all the soft arse people I found the reality show more entertaining than the actual show

Seems I’m the only one

Think it’s because I could never get off the awful subtitles and translations to enjoy it but thought it was pretty awesome how much the reality show resembled the actual one besides the killing them off. The dorm eliminations took place of the riot killings in the dorms of the actual show.

Whoever had the idea to do the bridge game with a 50:50 shot as opposed to just having a few survive in the show itself was genius. That was a fair way that got the majority across. Entertaining episode.

ETA was surprised how pissed the mom was that her son beat her in marbles rather than being happy for him. She was competitive. After his dumbass blew his shot in the bridge game by taking extra risks though rather then standing his ground against the black girl that wasn’t being fair, I get it. She knew he was too soft to win the game. if I was that kids parents I’d be pissed at him for caving and basically eliminating himself too

I’d rather see the tough old Vietnamese broad win over the 2 gay kids left. She’s seen some shite

Such a smart idea. It was also his only way to survive as an early number.

Also love how the show did the drops to make it seem like they disappear
