Cast Away was really disappointing the first time around but over time was really meaningful.

The Thing

The uncertainty. The conversation. The fire. Just all awesome.

I think the ending to the Mist is one of the worst I've seen in recent memory, and also one of most unintentionally funny. 'Whoops! Lol.'

Oldboy
Eternal Sunshine
The Seventh Seal
Solaris
The Thing
Halloween
8 1/2
Throne of Blood
Dr. Strangelove
There Will be Blood
The 400 Blows

Rocky -

one of the greatest underdog sports movies of all time ends with him actually losing the match but no one gives a shite about the outcome because life isn't about the end. It's about the journey. And no one can argue with Rocky's journey.

Empire Strikes Back -

It's the greatest movie of all time, Dante put it best: Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets.

Scream -

I saw that movie when I was 10. A friend and I snuck out and saw it. Which was a mistake. It scared the ever living shite out of me. Worst part was he had a basement with a ground level pool and one shitty light and it was where the den was with the n64. Every movement outside that door used to scare the shite out of us for months.

Requiem for a Dream, although it's not an ending that I want to watch often. It's so uncomfortable and disturbing that it stays with you.

After watching that movie I need a nap, then I got to church, then I tell my parents I love them.

Field of Dreams

John Kinsella: Well, good night Ray.
Ray Kinsella: Good night, John.
[They shake hands and John begins to walk away]
Ray Kinsella: Hey... Dad?
[John turns]
Ray Kinsella: [choked up] You wanna have a catch?
John Kinsella: I'd like that.
